One drawback of using an anti-tracking function and continuously deleting cookies is that when you donate to a free site you use, by the next session they have no idea it was you and are again asking for a donation.
Unless you sign in. But that defeats using an anti-tracking function.
"Let Vote Save America make it easy for you with the new Anxiety Relief Program.
Here’s how it works: You set up a recurring monthly donation at the level that feels right for you, and we’ll send 100% of it to the grassroots organizations and down ballot races that need it most.
Then, at the end of each month, we’ll tell you where your dollars went."
Please keep donating because the crisis is beyond high, the needs are many & we need to show our global humanity over cruel geopolitics & BS power games by government asshats.
I’ve updated my foster kitty food donation list for February! I might start posting a Chewy list too, especially since Amazon can be hit or miss with stocking dry food. As of this week we have people interested in adopting Butter Pecan (no thoughts only orange) and Madelyne (tortitude), so hopefully we’ll have more kitties in homes soon. Thank you all so much for helping!
Exclusive: Hotelier Robert Bigelow gives Trump $1 million for legal fees
Hotelier #RobertBigelow told Reuters on Tues he gave #Republican presidential candidate Donald #Trump $1 million for his #legal fees & agreed to donate another $20 million to a pro-Trump outside group for campaign purposes.
The commitments, which have not been previously reported, show some big #money is coalescing around #Trump, the frontrunner for the #Republican presidential nomination to face #Democrat Joe #Biden in the November general #election.
I have facial feminization surgery on Wednesday the 31st and it would mean a lot if you could donate or boost my GoFundMe. I would deeply appreciate any help.
Friendly reminder that most instances require servers, websites and various other things to operate the way that they do. This requires money and it's the admins who have to pay this money out of pocket.
It's hugely beneficial and greatly appreciated for admins to receive any kind of monetary help to keep the lights on and the servers running. Even if it's just $5 a month or something similar.
As we enter a new year, I'd like to remind everyone that Mastodon servers are run by admins/co-admins and those servers cost money to run and to keep going.
If you can support your instance, we as admins would certainly be grateful and thankful as it allows us to keep providing the service that we provide.
You can make a one time donation or subscribe monthly to #AllThingsTech via the link below and all money goes to server costs!
There, I put together my foster kitty food donation wish list for January! Things have been a little slow for me, though lots of kittens with other fosters got adopted for the holidays. I had a dream that my youngest kiddos would find a home soon so 🤞 Thanks so much to everyone who can help out!
In the past 25 minutes (After 18h00 on New Year’s Eve) I’ve received two emails from national level charitable organizations with “It’s not too late to donate in time for your 2023 tax receipts” messaging.
@mozilla Bei aller Liebe.
Merry Christmas (to those who celebrate) and Happy Holidays (for everyone else) from #tilvids 🎄 ❄️
In the spirit of holiday giving, consider donating to the @joinpeertube organization. They are trying to raise funds to advance the cause of freedom from large tech companies. Their work helps make #PeerTube instances like TILvids possible. If you're able to contribute, check out the following link:
We are immensely grateful to all those who donated. Your generosity will keep KDE running another year.
We have added two stretch goals, one will help us fund new designs for Plasma and our apps. The other will keep basic services running, and contribute to growing our userbase beyond the FLOSS-o-verse.
#Wikipedia is asking for #donations and it's Christmas time. Today, wikipedia is the most valuable website on the whole of the internet for me, the only one where I get actual, factual, answers and no AI BS. So I donated. I hope it lives on for many years.
Currently there are 333 users that uploaded 3200 videos. Luckily my last prediction regarding storage utilization was too pessimistic. Currently one-third of the available storage is used. According to conservative estimates, it will last for another three months.
I collected around 1200€ in #donations which will cover costs until end of March. This is great, thanks a lot to all donors! BUT there is more funding needed, especially for the next stage of expansion I would like to save some funds.
I didn't share it anywhere publicly yet, but I already received around 2000€ of donations (including open collective and private) for the last couple of months.
It's a huge support, unbelievable and heartwarming experience. It gives me hope and time to keep doing what is important and right.
Firstly, I want to thank everyone for their support of "Fireside Fairytales". I'm really touched anything I do brings joy.
Unfortunately, my laptop shorted today. I'm trying to resurrect my old laptop b/c it is $$$ to replace my laptop & I have no money at all. I'm tempted to link my Ko-Fi, but I won't b/c it's too much money to ask of a small community.
TL;DR - until I get my old laptop working--or replace it--there can't be streams.
Some very kind people made #donations to my Ko-Fi to help out with the laptop(* see note). I didn't know how to say "thank you" so I made little #stories and #FlashFiction as thanks (one isn't fiction, too! It's a story of how I broke a different laptop 10 years ago).
[*though I should reiterate it is too much money to fix or replace the laptop than I can reasonably ask for in donations]
Today I learned that LEGO has a program where you can send them your old LEGO (bricks, pieces, mini-figs, etc). LEGO will then take them in, wash / sterilize them, and donate them to children in need!
