Someone posted a question which included the #krita hashtag about when Krita or GIMP and so would support "AI". I won't reply or mention them because they were anonymous people without a bio, but the answer is:

  • if there are libraries with a GPLv3+ compatible license
  • if there are models trained only on publicly available images, instead of pirated copyrighted images (Krita is GPLv3, so yeah, we support copyright and copyleft).
  • if our users actually need or want AI assistance.

I train myself to draw directly with ballpen while traveling (a lot of transport this week, for personnal reasons). Hard exercice, but full of good lessons. I want to practice more that way.

@cookie_mumbles Hey, yes: in short, it trains the way i imagine things precisely before drawing them. It's frustrating, challenging and quickly reveals if i know a volume or (as often) NOT 🤭. If i can imagine it fully and hold it in memory while tracing it.

My next step is to learn more body parts and how to magnet my volumes to an imaginary perspective grid (cause i'm still bad at it and often fallback to isometry).

Last April, I left my Twitter account, but without deleting it, to keep more than 10 years of posts for archiving (tutorials, brushes, threads, etc...). I also wanted to occupy the namespace to avoid seeing an account doing impersonation. Then I uninstalled the app, stopped reading my TL, and put all this in the background...

But when a friend told me yesterday that it was a good thing I had left Tw early, I felt bad that I still had that dormant account.

I deleted it as soon as I got home.😺

Take your time with your account, only do the deletion if you feel you'll have no regrets about it. And not because of pressure of a group. Just for personal cleaning, as cleaning desk, a disk, etc...

I still have mine. But it is also in quarantine for a very long time.

And bang, summer cleaning continues! I remember being proud of the 1.6K karma thing at one point. I'm so easy to buy with gamification and points like that. 🤦
