One thing that I learned when describing your own characters is not to devolve them into tropes when describing them. Its the audience's job to categorize your characters, its your job to make them interesting.

@lichwitch honestly it extends to shit you don't think about.

I stopped using femme and butch. If the audience wants to guess if a woman who is a motorcycle mechanic who also wears eyeliner is butch or femme that's their problem to solve.

Instead of sleeping I read the 5e ravenloft supplement.

I have no real attachment to ravenloft besides finding it fun to read about so it largely serves as "cool ideas" fodder to me.

I don't think im particularly well served to run a horror campaign considering anything I would run would more resemble Young Frankenstein than Frankenstein.
