I demand, nay plead developers to continue to use the floppy disc to represent saving. I understand it confuses the younger generation who did not use floppy discs but this is precisely the point. They should be confused. I want future generations to understand the floppy disc not as a mode of information storage and transport but as some symbolic representation of saving files. You can absolutely abstract the form of a floppy disc until its no longer representative of the physical media it is based on but a pure symbol representation of saving files.

Besides, arrow pointing at the ground is similarly nonsense if you really really think about it. Information falls outta the sky and goes splat on the ground? Get outta here.

Happy #FightStickFriday Tuesday.

The first is a flatbox with pale blue choc switches, i designed the button caps myself.

the f300 has modified ls-62 and Crown buttons, modified to have a tiny 128x64 oled screen and a usb-c input. The case was spraypainted black and the decal I ordered from decalgirl. The artwork is by mikkynga!

Both of these run GP2040-ce firmware, you don't wanna see the internals of the f300 tho lol.

i like highest resolution/cleanest possible image enough i dont think its worth poisoning my art even if the degradation is supposed to be minimal.

i think the issue is more there is no good way to do consent to something like this on a mass scale. Consent looks like the social media provider making a shit load of money on your work, which you contributed long before you realized this was even a possibility to be worth considering. I can't really be mad if people wanna poison their own well.

I also think purely prompt based images are a joke and if they want to do image AI they're going to have to make it easier to work with post-processing/as part of a creative process rather than text to image.
