As I’m finalizing my second video, I wonder: has someone used both Davinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro and could tell me whether for my explain-type videos the latter is less janky and more approachable than the former?
I understand that Resolve has the best color correction in the industry and amazing sound features but the jank is driving me crazy and from what I’ve seen about FCP, it seems like it could mesh with my brain that dreams in Keynote better.
OMG guitar tutorial videos are SO MUCH WORK!! 😭
and its not even the recording of the tutorial bits, its all the video editing afterwards!
Kill me!!
😩 💀 ☠️
The only saving grace is that I'm doing a full 6 guitar and 1 bass tutorial of my own debut single with full free guitar tab
I'm going to roll with a "no dumb questions" policy as big a mistake as that may be on the open internet.
I have a DJI Mini 4 Pro. Is there some way to mark the start/end of a shot? Like a clap board sort of but for drones, in the sky?
I'd like to automate my video processing and so far most of that is just cutting out transit and setup time for the shot I want. Some way to mark the start and end of a shot that can be identified automatically would be incredible!
I wish there was some super simple video making tutorial that helps people like me understand how to create effective art related short form videos.
I am tech potato, and making videos is super exhausting to me...so if someone does know some tips, tutorials, or helpful step-by-step blogposts that'd be cool.
Getting back into #videoediting and #animation. I was pretty good at Vegas and Premiere Pro way back when. Even did some side gigs using AfterEffects. Im looking to get back into it now as a hobby. Wonder if people had experience editing or animating in Linux? Suggestions for software please. Dankeschon.
If there is anything out there on the interwebs that could fairly be characterized as:
The Absolute Idiot's Guide To Video Editing, And How To Teach An Old Dog To Do It When He Has Never Done Anything Like It, Preferably Using Best-In-Class FOSS Software Tools Which Are Herein Handily Identified For His Convenience
... it would benefit me for such resources to be made known.
Thank you!
(Boosts for a wider lazyweb search highly appreciated)
I'm looking for a #Motion or #FCPX generator that would create sort of Plexus-like lines, neuron-like structures ideally with light pulses, paid or free.
Any ideas? I haven't found anything like that for Motion. I need to use it on a lot of shots in a FCPX project and have it somewhat controllable from FCPX, otherwise I'd just do it myself in After Effects and render as video.
#Kdenlive 23.08.4 comes with a safeguard when working with variable framerate footage and fixes time remapping and subtitling issues. This version also brings back audio stem export support, which allows to render audio tracks as separate files.
Microsloth is really pissing me off.
They removed functions of PHOTOS Program, and forced CHIMPCHAMP online video editing. It's crap, what if I am on a stand-alone? Every non-microsoft Open Source video editing software was blocked, as being unsafe, because it didn't come from the MS Store?
I block BING and all redirects by MS. And It took 2 hours to get one that they let install. #VideoEditing#Vidiot#Microsoft Gotta sign in to give CHIMP CHAMP and MS Photos ZERO STARS?
Maybe a Loyalty Card system could help with returning customers for the service? This could be run all year around instead of just December Deals or anything like that.
As physical loyalty cards make no sense for an online business a Digital Loyalty Card is most likely what I will have to do for this sort of thing.
#introduction! I'm a pro #guitarist with the band Maggie Speaks. Freelance video editor (indie doc Cover 21: Ignite Chicago, on Amazon). Amateur #photographer.
Am I forever doomed with this issue? Proxies RANDOMLY unlink. I can always relink them. They sometimes work, sometimes remain Offline, sometimes appear after restarting FCPX.
Fellow video editors, do you also get panic attacks when you see the footage for the first time and think there's no way in hell to make a TV season out of this?
How's my first morning back at normal routine life going, you ask?
Well I've managed to somehow lose a video project that I'd been working on in increments since LAST NOVEMBER, and now I need to drink some tea and take a long hard look at myself and come up with a new plan for the week.
