@ramsey You’ve decided to embrace the name Ben Fucking Ramsey, and have officially changed your middle name to “Fucking” on all official identification 😎
Weird! Decided to try the New Media Show podcast. it’s showing as “Live” in Podverse dated May 1, 2024 but the content doesn’t sound current. I think it’s been stuck like this for a few days
@ramsey it was the 20th anniversary edition that came out in 1997. So Jabba the Hut made his appearance 😂 I think was the digital version. i don’t think the original film version is available anymore
made myself a simple little board today that has a few useful logic gates made from discrete bjt transistors (i found myself breadboarding the same gates over and over and thought i'd save future-me some trouble)
@stevegrunwell i have Todoist! I’ll try this. I have it but haven’t made it a habit. I need to learn to maximize my efficacy with this. i’m not “leaning on” todoist like i should
@stevegrunwell With this one post, you refreshed my Tek memories, AND reminded me that Pauline Vos is @vanamerongen because for some reason i never remember that association 😊
@jaapio how hard would it be to phpDocumentor for parsing Shell doc comments too? There isn’t a good solution currently. I like the style of phpdoc, but naturally would need to adapt some of the items for shell scripting?
People often talk about Emacs vs Vim. Every developer I’ve met uses Vim. Occasionally, some of the vim users will say they have previously emacs, but switched to vim.
So where are all the people who are currently using Emacs?
I’m not trolling or looking for an argument. I legit want to know!
@mykhaylo No worries. i don’t have any problems with Emacs. i agree with your point about the culture. i was only wondering why i don’t normally hear about people talking about how they use Emacs. The replies to my original post have shown that people actually are still enjoying Emacs.
