“The Cybertruck is mostly but not entirely car-shaped. It is stiff and very gray and looks like home electronics looked when Bill Clinton was president; it is both too jankily long and too upright for its amusingly normal-sized tires, in a way that makes them look like small, cheap dress shoes. There is a lot of vertical space serving no evident purpose, and the vehicle is somehow imposing and goofy in exactly equal measure.”

“That immunity was at the heart of what they saw as a flawed system. On both the state and national level, they wrote constitutions that held all leaders, including presidents, accountable to the laws of the country.”

Scientists are using AI to decode whale talk.
“Sperm whale vocalisations are more expressive and structured than previously believed, and built from a repertoire comprising nearly an order of magnitude more distinguishable codas. These results show context-sensitive and combinatorial vocalisation can appear in organisms with divergent evolutionary lineage and vocal apparatus.”

Esteemed NC music writer wrote about me for Raleigh’s Walter magazine:
“Way back in the mid-1990s, a book publisher tried to get Tom Maxwell to write a ‘memoir in progress.’ Maxwell gamely tried to write a few journal entries about life on the road before deciding he just didn’t have the bandwidth to document his Zippers ride while also living through it.
As he puts it: ‘I was too busy being shot out of a cannon with a drink in my hand.’” https://waltermagazine.com/art-and-culture/strange-wonderful-tom-maxwells-new-memoir/

Closer inspection of the structure, named the Blinkerwall, revealed about 1,400 smaller stones that appear to have been positioned to connect nearly 300 larger boulders, many of which were too heavy for groups of humans to have moved.”

“The longest - and slowest - music composition in existence had a big day on Monday - it changed chord for the first time in two years.
Crowds gathered at a church in Germany to witness the rare moment, which is part of an artistic feat by avant-garde composer, John Cage.
The experimental piece, entitled As Slow as Possible, began in 2001.
Being played on a specially-built organ, it is not set to finish playing until the year 2640.”

#Trump looks very vulnerable. It’s just a single datapoint, but this spells disaster for him in a general election. Almost 50% of a hardcore Republican electorate is not interested in what he’s pedaling. Not sure why the media is missing this.

@GottaLaff Iowa Republicans are hardcore, so I don’t take it as a good sign for him, either. Trump claims the GOP is 95% MAGA but all he’s really created is an intra-party civil war which I believe will heat up very quickly.

Tell me where is fancy bred,
Or in the heart or in the head?
How begot, how nourished?

It is engender’d in the eyes,
With gazing fed; and fancy dies
In the cradle, where it lies.
Let us all ring fancy’s knell;
