@heidilifeldman That would suit me just fine. I have ALWAYS voted Democrat, because the Republicans have been a danger to this country since Reagan. But I'm far to the left of my fellow-Democrats. I just won't vote for anyone else until a multiracial, multicultural democracy is the face of this country. Once the dreaded idiots of the GOP are gone, I welcome right-leaning, left-leaning, and centrist American voters to work out a better, more representative government.

@RickiTarr Because a world that is safer for women is usually much safer for all other living things, too. Women have families, and every family member benefits when the world is safer for women. If you're feeling guilt about the ex you beat, or the GF you slapped, take it up with your therapist. The rest of the world doesn't need to deal with your guilt. Acknowledging the facts is the first step on the path to truth.

One out of every two women who is killed dies at the hands of A MALE RELATIVE, a father, brother, husband, son, lover, boyfriend. If bears were attacking women in such large numbers, bears would have been wiped out already.

@ai6yr And, in case you didn't know, these BIG animals move REALLY fast and can leap up to five feet in the air. You WILL get made into a flattened meat patty, so don't even try it. If you're closer than 25 feet, that fucker WILL outrun you and squash you FLAT.

Everybody switch browsers to Firefox. Google is doing some shitty-ass stuff with Chrome that will FORCE their ads onto your eyeballs, and if you don't go along, they won't LET you use Chrome. Good. Tell them to go fuck themselves. Chrome is a crappy-assed browser, and not all the "Don't be Evil" policies in the world will make me happy with turning over all my data to Google muthafuckas for sale or rent.

Genuinely quite surprised at the number of people coming out to say throwing a milkshake at Farage was 'assault' and must never happen to politicians. I absolutely agree politicians should not be subject to violence, but there is a long, proud history of throwing foodstuffs at people as a form of protest. Intended to humiliate and ridicule, not to injure. Pleased to see Mastodon mostly agrees.

@ProfLouiseL As you know, in THIS country (across the pond), there is a long, proud tradition of pieing politicians in the face. Please have a stern word with the ninnies who are considering abolishing this practice. Pie-throwing and milkshake-throwing are clearly naught but a people's longing to, as it were, get closer to their politicians. A milkshake's kiss is sweet indeed, and I'd like to see the person who refuses a taste of pie.

@CherokeeSher This is SUCH hogwash, scaring people for no reason. These beautiful creatures are Joro spiders. They fly, but so do many OTHER species of spiders. Their venom is NOT a problem except to other small creatures with many legs, AFAIK. And 4-inch legspan is less than HALF your handspan. Stop trying to frighten people, they've had enough to last them a gotdamn lifetime, Mr/Ms/Mx Cohen!
