If you are so freaked out by merchandise not meant for you like glasses that say "Cheers Queers" and especially swimsuits made for trans women, just shop at Hobby Lobby. Don't threaten Target employees and make up rumors. (And even if the store were selling bathing suits for trans children, so what? It's no one's business if a child is trans except their family's and trans kids are allowed to have swimsuits too.)

@Wraithe @catvalente That is part of my problem, too. Makes eye make-up a real challenge. The only thing I can kind of do is smeared soft eye pencil or shadow applyied with a brush along the outside of the lashes. Lower mostly. In other news... Dangly earrings!!!! That is the universal indication of "female".

@shoq I did accidently look at a few crappy videos, and had alot of bad suggestions for a while. But I tell youtube what I think, and aggressively mute crap, and the suggestions are fire. I love my no-ad youtube the best of all our streaming services. Entertainment, classic and DIY education, decent therapy (for people wrestling with narcissist familly, anyway). Honestly! Youtube is the best city in the world.

@ianrosewrites here's our porch robin with a beak full of building materials... This pair have built a third or fourth level on the nest tower on top of our porch light, tucked under the metal awing. Good thing! We watched a crow try for days to get at the nest, and the robins drove it off while one robin stayed stoic in the nest. Such drama!

After not great experiences with my two previous publishers and receiving scammy contracts from publishers who wanted to print my next book, I've sort of let the prospect of doing another book of my work idle for 7-ish years. I'm starting to think self-publishing is the way to go. Began researching that today and boy is it a bewilderingly vast subject. The distribution end alone is really complex and the resources out there are mostly a means of selling services. Wish me luck! 😬

Not that we were planning on going anytime soon anyway, but Sandra and I were chatting about holidays and felt that the uncontrolled gun culture and rampant radical "Christianity" seeking to erase gay and trans people in the USA means America is off the list for now.

We have had some lovely holidays there, and we would love to ride the Amtrak from coast to coast, but daily reports of mass shootings and vile policies don't make it attractive currently.

(Edit: not just pro-gun policy.)
