Media coverage of Republicans stampeding to NYC to attack Trump's trial as illegit is marred by euphemism. This isn't just "currying favor" w Trump or "expressing loyalty" or auditioning to be his VP. It's placing Trump over rule of law
Rs are attacking judge, witnesses, prosecutors & trial as illegitimate. This isn't just helping Trump evade the gag order. The point is also to display in spectacle form that their fealty is to him over the rules that make the system function
@GottaLaff. Thank you for posting this must-read article by #GregSargent. I always thought his pieces for the #WashingtonPost were standouts. His incisive coverage has, by and large, been replaced by journalistic gruel.

Weather and climate change aren’t the same thing, but climate change is creating extremes.
Despite this, Ron DeSantis (R) just signed a law deleting climate change from Florida policy, banning the construction of offshore wind turbines, and boosting fossil fuels.
DeSantis isn’t in the running anymore for President but Trump is and his plan for addressing the climate is if anything worse.

Since Todd Blanche nodded his head yes when #Trump claimed that his right to testify has been taken away because of the #GagOrder, Merchan must start the day tomorrow inquiring of Trump’s understanding AND whether Blanche misadvised him on his 5th Amendment rights.

One thing social media has taught me, at age 67, is how many parents go through the inconceivable agony of losing a child, and also, how many children go through the agony of losing parents in difficult ways (like me). It's very painful to read about the fear people are experiencing in their efforts to be good citizens (like #RubyFreeman & #ShayeMoss, for example) & #librarians & #teachers & #election workers. The #media covering jury selection is finally illuminating the terror and anxiety that #Trump has brought about (we've heard so much about the anxiety of Trump supporters). This coverage needn't only happen in the context of the courtroom.
