    I would love to sign the petition, and I'm sure many of my neighbors here in Mesa would as well. It's a shame that both the article and the HRA website are silent on this point.

    Second. Merriam Webster says the first "known use" dates to 1942.

    Really? How can that be true?

    Do we have any really old people here who can say they were not familiar with that phrase, say, in the 1930s?

    I guess anyone alive now would have been an infant in the 1930s but who knows!

    @andrew I was shocked when I learned that LinkedIn is considered to be "social media" and that people apparently post stuff there beyond their education/work history. I'm sorry, WHAT?

    I've tried to look to see who a viewer might be but I get a page that wants me to do something I'm unwilling to do - like maybe sign in? I don't pay enough attention to be able to say what exactly happens, because I don't take it seriously as a place of any importance.

    @amyfou I've eaten more salmon in the last week than I have in the last year, I think.

    I figured out it's really tasty - and fast - in my little air fryer.

    I mix a big spoonful of chipotle in adobo with a smaller spoonful of honey, slather it on the salmon, pop it in the air fryer, and it is fantastic!

    @rbreich Thomas also had a $267,000 loan "forgiven."

    The Committee on Finance report mentions that they'd seen one check for one year's interest. It is silent on whether there is proof that there is evidence of other payments. So it's possible that he not only had the principal forgiven but the 7.5% annual interest for all but one year as well.

    Reporter Stephen Neukam confirmed that a "joint" speakership between Kevin McCarthy and Jim Jordan is currently being floated.

    The Constitution provides that "The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers."

    In four other places, "the speaker" is singular.

    I don't know if "Speaker" can be two people.

    I'm not sure how this would work in practice, whether it is even Constitutional, or how it would be challenged.

    @amyfou Did you watch the whole plea hearing? I encourage you to do so. Also - and maybe more importantly - watch Cheseboro's. The details of the crimes they're pleading to are stated on the record. I think it's important for everyone to hear the specific illegal acts they have pled to.

    Wonkette has the video of those two. I've not yet looked for Powell's but I will - it's important to know what each of them has pled to.

    In the J6 DOJ trial (the big one) yesterday was Trump's deadline for filing pretrial motions.

    (See attached minute order)

    No surprise, his lawyers filed a bunch of motions just before the deadline.

    Here's the thing about defense motions in criminal proceedings: Defendants are given lots of leeway to file motions that don't have a chance. The lawyers run into trouble only if they lie or misrepresent facts.

    This is because of how much is at stake in criminal cases.

    Yeah, but you were trying to write a non-losing motion. If fhese jamokes put a lot of time into writing this motion, they'd have recognized how ridiculous their premise was and not filed it. They could have just told Trump they did.

    So you had a long day and forgot to take the pizza dough out to come to room temperature. THE HORROR!

    It makes a big difference for shaping it and getting nice crust.

    But have no fear! Shortcut:

    With dough in a covered metal bowl, you can float it in a pot of warm (NOT HOT) water to just take the fridge chill off. Let it sit for 30-45 minutes, then dump it onto your floured parchment for shaping as usual.

    I did that with my pizza tonight and had it baking within the hour. Meatza! #cooking
