Mom just got back from lunch outing with 4th Auntie. She told me: We saw that snobby Oak Bay lady you yelled at last Summer! Then laughed her ass off with Auntie.

What happened last Summer was we saw gorgeous garden & stopped to take pics of flowers that spilled over fence on public sidewalk. Only close ups of flowers & foliage. Grumpy lady came out & shouted to stay out of her yard! We weren't in her yard. I yelled back: Your plants are nicer than you'll ever be! You're a mean & nasty bitch!

Biden's been pushing Netanyahu towards a two-state solution for months and despite the "Genocide Joe" crowd's crap, he's pushed back more on Israeli militarism more than any US president ever just by doing it at all.

I've not been on Mastodon for about a week and just stopped in to post some photos and I am not able to post any images. The only error message I get is simply the number 500. Tried multiple photos. Closed browser and re-opened. Logged out and logged back in. Disconnected from wifi and re-connected. Tried refreshing the page. Nothing I've done so far has made a difference. Your assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry to be redundant, but if Biden said even ONE thing in any of those clips, it would be over for him.

Yet Trump has duped The News & all too many voters into accepting him "as is."

I don't. At all. And I am not laughing at him. He's lethal. He's toxic. He's malignant.

I've been on #Mastodon for only a few days and I already feel less anxiety/stress over here than on twitter/X. I love the fact that both Mastodon and #Bluesky are overall leftist/left-wing. I'm so glad the future of social media is decentralized (e.g. #ActivityPub, ATProto, Nostr, etc.).

Twitter was never a healthy place with all its silly algorithms and encouragement of confrontations. I don't know which platform US society mostly resembles, but I hope it eventually resembles Mastodon, etc.

I've already had to block a few accounts for this.

Pres. Biden is not "for genocide." I will not argue with you on this topic, nor do I discuss the Israel/Hamas war here.

But I will not tolerate accusations of "genocide" by Pres. Biden. He's not "pro genocide."

If that's a prob, it's on you.

So, here's a problem I have with Mastodon: let's say I make a post and someone replies with a racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic comment. I can block the commenter, but that only hides it for me. Other people who come to my page will see the comment, and believe that I tacitly condone that behaviour. I'd like to be able to delete the reply from my replies list entirely. Or at least hide replies from blocked accounts. And, yes, I know that wouldn't delete it from the originating server.
