Our #roses are entertaining us, while #azaleas are in their final stage.
I hope everyone had a peaceful start of the week, too.

Featuring two Cornell pink rhododendron mucronulatum #azaleas, which is one of the earliest bloomers, and a Goldflame spread, just coming into growth.
Happy Hollow Gardens in South Roanoke County, Virginia is truly a hidden gem. The wooden walkway makes it easy to wander among the blooming azaleas, especially in the early Spring when everything is vibrant and colorful. The contrast between the green trees and the pink azaleas is simply stunning.
In my latest series of rain-soaked photographs at Happy Hollow Gardens, I captured the raw beauty of nature in the downpour. Despite the lack of shelter, I braved the elements, balancing an umbrella and my trusty Canon DSLR to get the perfect shot. The result was worth every challenge faced.
Every spring, this oak tree and azalea-lined drive explodes with spring color. Azaleas bloom but once a year here in Florida but boy, when they do they put on a show. This wasn’t full bloom yet but worth photographing anyway.
I went to the azalea gardens in the rain. I had hoped the rain would slack off a bit, but when it didn't, I got out of the car with my umbrella and camera. The azaleas were in full bloom but the rain kept other visitors away, so it was just me amongst the flowers. Amazing!
