We ended up outside of Waterloo, Illinois earlier today, where I captured this picture. I can't decide if I like it or not... The sky looked picturesque, but the tree line is dim from the clouds. IDK 🤷🏼♂️

#today lets keep in mind the unspoken suffering of those around us.
No one is free from suffering. We all have our own internal struggles that more often then not, manifest in our lives.
If someone annoys you today, take a moment to remember that the spear in the others eye, is the spear in your own. We all at one time or another act out through our suffering, and more often then not, we end up regretting it.
Be a little more empathic today.
Be for others, what you wish they were, for you.
I am enjoying a slow, quiet morning #today. I am noodling on my laptop, listening to the rain and the birds out back at the feeder.
I think I will prioritize recharging today. I do have an idea for a simpler essay that I think I can distill from the one I've been working on for a few weeks. We'll see if I can find the appetite for some writing later.
Another cloudy day with rain starting soon. I'm happy I got out for my walk before the rain, but I really wish we would have a sunny day.
Today will be a day of writing and chores, then reading and relaxing in the evening. Right now, though, I'm just sitting and sipping and scrolling. Grab a cup of coffee and #JoinIn.
I just finished my morning run at the cemetery, where I used to run when my daughter was little. Death is present here, but so is life. The sun is glimmering through newly awakened leaves on old trees.
I walk past a man, sitting in front of a stone. He's scrubbing it with a yellow brush.
That could have been me. It could have been my name on a stone, for 18 years now. But for some reason, death didn't collect.
So I get to see my daughter grow up, and go on morning runs.
Got my laundry finished but did no gaming; I got caught up on the silly and serious news going on today instead. In addition to watching Insym play games because I find his voice and gameplay relaxing.
#today I got my garden cart back from the neighbors so I was able to move all of my mature compost and use it to mulch around my tomato plants. This used up all the compost that I currently have, so the remaining area will be mulched with a mixture of leaf mold and grass clippings over the course of the season as they become available. While I was doing that, #BeetBear spent some time with his beet crop, cultivating and weeding. 😀 #gardening #allotment #zone6b #NewEngland @gardening
The struggles I started #today with led to some good.
I practiced equanimity combined with other skills again. I handled "The Interrupt" better. That's a label I really like for the moment between a feeling and a reaction that I picked up from @grueproof. Our video call today was another good that came of meeting my struggle more skillfully.
To use another coinage I really like, this time from @kamikat: today was another day where I was "good but not happy or excited".
We have the windows open because it's nice outside. I am sleepy and John is taking a nap, there's more beans left so I will likely eat some of that for dinner, and I'm doing my best to get the rest of today's work done. Shabbat can't come fast enough. #today

I spent the morning outside with a cup of tea enjoying the lovely 60°F (15°C) 🌞 weather. Dude missed his lap time 😾so I’ll have to make it up to him after my workout.
This morning we said goodbye to friends visiting from afar, it’s sad they live such a long distance away. We’ll miss their funny stories, lively spirits & just communicating alongside good people with similar mindsets.❤️
No plans so far #today, but that may change.

Still struggling a bit this morning but was able to use my "zen mind tricks" to manage my way through.
The sun has disappeared again but the rain hasn't returned yet. I got out for a run. I still don't enjoy the activity itself but love being in our nearby park. And definitely how finishing a decent run makes everything else feel a bit better.
I think I can get through the rest of #today in good order then very much will welcome the weekend.
This year we’ve grown just six beds of field or fava beans 🫘 Five beds of Vespa field beans and one bed of Sutton Dwarf broad beans (Fava) The Sutton have already flowered and set beans so we’ll have a crop soon 😛 The Vespa are getting taller and starting to show flowers. I had an easy day today! Got my grocery shopping and bill paying done. Watched insym play some games, and played Nier Automata (so far 9S's story is pretty in line with 2B's story). There are minor differences in respect to parts when 2B was disabled or fighting offscreen, 9S was acting as support.
Tomorrow, I'll get laundry and more gaming done as I will enjoy my days off!
