Clouds on my daily run

I just finished my morning run at the cemetery, where I used to run when my daughter was little. Death is present here, but so is life. The sun is glimmering through newly awakened leaves on old trees.

I walk past a man, sitting in front of a stone. He's scrubbing it with a yellow brush.

That could have been me. It could have been my name on a stone, for 18 years now. But for some reason, death didn't collect.

So I get to see my daughter grow up, and go on morning runs.

Current progress picture.

Today, I did:

  • 14 minutes of running
  • 6 minutes of power walking
  • 11 push-ups
  • 2:45 minutes of planking
  • 45 sit-ups
  • 36 bicep curls of 35lbs barbell
  • 100 squats with 10lbs kettlebell
  • 36 reps of 95lbs bench press
  • 36 reps of 85lbs chest press
  • 20 minutes of cycling

It was a productive day!

@atomicpoet Wow, thatโ€™s a lot! :-) Very inspiring!

I am currently in such a chaotic period in my life that I only have time for a quick pilates/yoga session per day, sometimes not even once a day. And I mean like 10-20 min per day, so not nearly enoughโ€ฆ :-(

I had some leftover egg whites, so I decided to try making a homemade yolk-less mayonnaise for the first time.

I have never made homemade mayonnaise before. New skill get!

It came out a bit too lemony, but still tasty. I call this a success.

Anyway, behold: my First of Mayo!

I just dropped my kid off on her school trip to Franceโ€ฆ and I must admit I am a tiny bit jealous, as I am looking out into the rainy Swedish evening.

I wouldnโ€™t want to go on a school trip necessarily, but I would want to sit in the sun in France or Italy and have a croissant or an Italian dolce.

The fact that you can follow the president of the United States (@potus) from your Mastodon account instead of being forced to have an X or Threads account for it is a huge W in my book. Of course our team is fully available to help if they'd want to set up Mastodon on whitehouse.gov. I believe governments should not rely on 3rd party platforms to connect with their constituents.

@Gargron No, I canโ€™t follow that account. I have to log in and create an account, says Threads. Ehโ€ฆ No thank you.

I am not sure I ever planned on following Biden anyway - BUT his team might need to know that you can help them. Otherwise they might just stay on Threads if it seems easier.

If the accounts that can see Bidens posts are limited to Treads, that means he could just have stayed on IG lol

    A Fediverse service someone should build: daily digest emails that summarizes what happened across the Fediverse, and interesting things that popped up in your feed.

    Why make it? Because if youโ€™re away from the Fediverse for a period of time, emails are a nice way to get caught up.

    @Mrfunkedude I am way ahead of you, I already bought my Easter candy AND ate some.

    But after two bites I remembered that I don't like candy because it makes me feel sick. So now my Easter egg is sitting on โ€œthe left over candy shelfโ€ in the kitchen and will stay there until I forget that I don't like candy (like tomorrow) and try again.

    @Edent I donโ€™t think the facility producing X-ray pictures can claim copyright to them, since their purpose isnโ€™t to be creative, artistic or innovative, and the people producing the pictures cannot claim that the purpose of them creating the pictures are to create art or new innovations.     I honestly didn't think I would live to experience this moment, but I just realised - while having a caramel cookie and looking at apartments for sale in Copenhagen - that this is the last Easter Iโ€™ll ever spend in my current city. Ever.

    @Mrfunkedude Well, at first I deleted them one at a time and saved the ones I thought I would need on an external hard disk. That took about a month.

    So then I began looking through folders with several hundred emails and thought โ€œif you havenโ€™t needed these emails in 18 years, you will never need themโ€, and delete the whole folder. But that gave me anxiety, because what if I would need them?

    So now Iโ€™ve resigned to the fact that I have a gmail monster as a weird digital pet.
