Me: Mad? No. Sad...yes, but happy too.
S: Why sad?
M: Because you didn't make the best choices and that earned you some new ankle weights.
S: You right. Why happy?
M:Because you're alive and can make better choices next time. I'd rather go to your hearing, than your funeral.
S: (Silent) (hugs me and goes back to class)
