A personal piece to commemorate the Lunar New Year, featuring my fanwalker Kanerva who I've not drawn for the past few Magic: the Gathering expansions. I mean, it's not technically dragons, but horse-skull-headed bone serpents count, right?
#WordWeavers 2: What scene in your current WIP are you proudest of?
Working on the 2024 version of the project, I am very proud of this panel, trying to guide the reader eyes with lights and shadows
#WordWeavers 19: If your SC were a parent, would they be a good one? Why/why not?
One of the story’s darkest secrets: Lady d’Arcy expects her maiden to be dedicated to serve her, so she took extreme measures to prevent them to have babies –in her own twisted way, an hysterectomy wouldn’t scary enough!
That said, Esther being extremely ill, Erie has to take care of her, as she would do of a child.
Writing routine, not really, but I have a drawing one : after breakfast, I start my day with about one hour of drawing as warmup before starting my daily job.
Another reason I participate to the Raymond Leblanc contest is to get feedback from professional editors. I put examples from the last two years and a page from this year for comparison.
Eleventh dedication for the artbook: Esther puts her hat on before leaving her cabin. Being a proper lady, she wouldn’t go out without a hat. Theme requested by Yves Le Meur, thanks for his trust!
I reuse a photo study of @sinituulia I already did last year.
Since it has been shared, I can also show you my art for the Raymond Leblanc contest. If you want, go like, comment and share my entry for the Raymond Leblanc contest on their Instagram page! https://www.instagram.com/p/CuR8FnlMUvK/?igshid=NjFiZTE0ZDQ0ZQ==
Eighth dedication for the artbook: Esther and Erie are about to take the train to do a nice travel! I did this art for my mother in law Patricia. Thanks for her trust !
It’s been a long time since I did a fanart, let’s change this by introducing to you an #originalcharacter from Shadow Dancer of the 305 (https://www.deviantart.com/shadow-dancer-of-305). Named Heba, this young #Muslim woman can summon and manipulate knives from another dimension.
I represent her as a #Victorianlady, as she was about to meet Esther
