Robert Reich on what Trump’s trial is showing us about Trump world:
“This cast of characters — and there are many, many others like them in Trump world — are loathsome not because they have violated the law, but because they have contributed to creating a harsh society in which everyone is potentially bought or sold.”
"Stormy Daniels has reminded us of what a disgusting misogynistic creep Donald Trump is: unable to control his carnal impulses, eager to exploit his power and influence and wealth to procure sex, devoid of shame or guilt or remorse, incapable of fidelity, focused completely on his own sexual satiety, and totally fine about said sexual satiety being generated by violent means."
"A quarter of the way through the 21st century, a predilection towards sexual misconduct and misogyny is practically a BFOQ of a Republican politician. The party of trickle-down economics and tax cuts for gazillionaires has long been the party of plunder. As long as Donald Trump is its leader, it will also be the party of rape."
As Scott Dworkin reports, lifelong Republican and former Georgia lieutenant governor Geoff Duncan announced today that he's voting for a "decent person I disagree with on policy over a criminal defendant without a moral compass.”
A quaint idea, no? That with leaders, character counts….
Observed: “They ignored each other. He stared at his phone, she at the ad on the TV. They had dressed up to go out, but it was obvious they wanted out.”
“Sometimes, you look at a young person and you just know what they’re going to look like when they are older. Now, all I see is their death. That’s why I never got married.”
Not sure why I had this #drawing idea for the first time... Maybe it was some conversation about values, ethics and whether "everyone has a price"... And later I needed any reason to experiment with style with clearly cut shadows (I usually draw with gradient, it's more natural for me).
Inspired by #PrivacyBadger logo. I want to draw it in slightly different style but failed during working on this :/ At least I kept a bit of Privacy Badger vibe.
