Do Retry was an interesting series. It was set in a post-World War II Japan with a sick sister and rough brother who gets pulled into underground boxing tournaments to try to raise money to help his sister.
The series followed Aozora as he tried to raise the money for his sick sister by boxing. The series progressively gets better as it goes on as Aozora learns to be a better boxer. It was an interesting, and grittier sports / boxing manga.
So, Fabricant 100 has ended and I've been wanting to put down my thoughts on it.
Basic summary of the series for those who don't know, the series is about fabricated humans. A scientist became obsessed with creating the perfect human. So, tried to do so by creating fabricants from the body parts of dead people. When he died, the fabricants became obsessed with obtaining the best "parts" from living people, killing them to modify their body for the better.

4 year ago I had never read a manga or watched an anime.
Now I'm debating a Crunchyroll premium subscription and just bought my second manga series off kobo.
The "fanservice" aspects of anime/manga kept me a way for a long time. I'm deeply uncomfortable with how femme characters are handled. BUT I have found some truly lovely stories that are so much more sweet and slice of life than anything in live action.

Don't deliberately try to make something great sound mid, it has to be something that legitimately would sound mid to somebody being told about it who has never seen/experienced it.
Bonus points if you explain why it "works" in practice better than on paper
My 10yo says she likes manga now. She's read Animal Crossing, Delicious in Dungeon, and Chi's Sweet Home. I don't really know much about manga. What would be some age-appropriate content for her? ACCA 13-Territory Inspection Department
Description: Jean Otus is an inspector of the Inspection Department, tasked with auditing all of the territories of Dowa. During his inspections, there are rumors of a coup d'état and without really wanting to be involved, Jean ends up learning details about it anyway.
This is a short series, 13 episodes only. The political conspiracy unfolds very slowly, but the more I watched the more I wanted to know. Also, there's lots and lots of bread. You will want to eat delicious bread watching this show. Also, it's pretty, and features a secret bodyguard, is a calm watch, not exactly something I'd recommend a marathon for but sometimes, a nice chill watch is a good thing.

Description: There are tons of cooking anime/manga out there, and well, this one is about BAKING! BREAD!
and lots of puns. So many bread puns. In fact, the title is a pun. Pan = bread. And so, Japan. You see? Main character Azuma Kazuma is blessed with solar hands, warmer than usual hands, that makes for great baking. He goes to Tokyo to work at this bread making place (bakery?), Pantasia, meets other bakers, and have bake-offs with increasing over the top reactions from the judges, including a whole Detective Conan parody and literally dying and coming back to life.
I didn't finish because it was still ongoing when I reading the manga and I have terrible stamina for following ongoing series, but whatever I read (and watched) was loads of fun and I hope you will enjoy it too!
Before I asked which #Gundam series to start so start with, I already watched a few episodes of #GundamWitchFromMercury.
I wanted to finish up before starting with Iron-Blooded Orphans. As my first Gundam series it was a pretty bad decision. It touches way too many immature #anime tropes, the main character is just dumb and annoying, until the very last minute of the season.
Lesson learned, abort a series after a few episodes to prevent wasting time.
So, I have talked about how I've been doing a side-by-side comparison of stats for Instagram and Pixelfed by posting the same photos on both accounts.
Well, my pics tend to fall into certain well defined categories. So, I have been sorting the photos into the following and comparing average number of likes: Cats, Food, Flowers, Manga, and Selfies.
Based on these broad categories, I noticed a few hings. More info in the following toots.
