Anyone looking for a fun JRPG to play on mobile should check out Another Eden if you haven't already. It's been out for a while but I just discovered it & it's great to pick up & play for 30-60 minutes at a time. It has in-app purchases, but I have yet to find anything that requires spending money (although I will probably buy something so I don't feel guilty not giving the developers anything). It's easily up there with SQEX, Atlus, etc. quality.
...Mystic Quest in Europe. Sword of Mana was the fifth release in the series. 🏹
The gameplay of Sword of Mana is an expanded and modified version of the original gameplay with elements added from later games in the Mana series. ⚔️
🕹️ Trivia about the game consoles of our childhood
Last night I was ready to start a new RPG. It’s been quite a while so I was in the perfect mood for it.
And since I watched that Ys video I really wanted to play an entry into the series.
Since I can’t restart 8 on PS5 yet, I decided to go with Memories of Celceta.
I only played the intro back in the day on Vita. Played for about 3 hours last night and I’m really enjoying it. Can’t wait to go home late tonight and play some more.
Still on my Ys Memories of Celceta trip so when I was shopping for harder to find, but cheap Visual Novels and RPGs, I had to add this one to the list.
€33 brand new, so I'll call that a steal. 🥰
Partially rotoscoping directly on the computer speeds up the animation process considerably. So far, the output seems consistent with the Mars walk cycle for the protagonist. This was based on footage of my youngest child, which I'll show in a comment.
It’s hard to believe I own such an obscure RPG like Robotrek as a kid. I probably got it off a Toys r Us discount bin and with my love for RPG’s I had to have it. Never thought years later it would become highly sought after physically and much more appreciated.
Did you ever buy an obscure game that became wildly popular much later?
There's nothing else to do in #UnicornOverlord I did everything, did the last battle two times (we can do it as many times as we want) all quests, everything, and now I don't feel like playing anything 😔 Maybe continue my 2nd playthrough of #TriangleStrategy So, in case I need some more #Vanillaware in my life, which one of these games would you recommend me to play first? #videogames#atlus#jrpg#rpg#shareyourgames
March is nearing its end, so it's time to look back at what I have done!
Let's start with gaming: I started and completed Stray this month and it was a fascinating little game that was short and very enjoyable. You play as a cat and that by itself is jusr wonderful.
I played a lot of Balatro and it gave me the idea for my own cardgame, which I am actively working on.
Civ 6 is another mainstay. I managed to beat a game with Elizabeth in my fourth attempt!
I am still playing Alan Wake and I'm about 5 hours in now. It is fun and atmospheric, however the writing is sometimes hilariously bad. The FBI agent calling Wake by various writers names is the dumbest stuff so far. How would he even have heard about Lovecraft?
Also gave Unicorn Overlord a go, but didn't get enough time with it yet. So far, it's fascinating and I know I am going to love it.
Got Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden last week and that game is kinda amazing for focusing on the Adventure part of Action-Adventure. Very overlooked game!
