Termine el primer módulo del diplomado 🫶🏻✨. Y al final la lavanda se convirtió en un bonito bolsito, aún no se en que convertir el bordado de la manzanilla 🤔.
🧶 It's done! Yarn re-skeined on swift from ball I wound months ago, washed in Eucalan, dried thoroughly (it fluffed up, so nice!), re-wound just now into a ball.
Finally finished on the #CrossStitch portion of the two copies of #PraiseHim#PrayerCloth! WHOO HOO!!! Now the easy part-- #CrossQuilting! As you can see, I already started around the central circle on the Sun, so the backs aren't very impressive yet. When I'm finished, I'll be correcting the pattern, posting it to Ko-Fi (emailing an updated, CORRECTED copy to those with the unproofed version), and then on to much a much less complicated project! #ThankGod for #LightAtTheEndOfTheTunnel! 😄🥳🎉🥳🎉
So, my #embroidery project about The Sentinel video game is finally completed!

once again, I am asking the makers of sewing machines to make their software human usable. your idea about how bad "the sewing ladies" are with computers is not an excuse to make bad software. 😡
in other words, I'm taking #recommendations for an #embroidery machine that is less than US$5k and has software that wasn't designed by someone with zero ability to user-test it before they put it into production. Mom is tech savvy, but this software is just trash. #sewing
Finished my root system #generative#embroidery experiment. Made by starting with a full thread, splitting into 2, then again into 3. Decided to add a second grey layer under the white to give it some depth. Pretty happy with this. :)
@mem_somerville It makes me sad to read that this behaviour exists. Could it be a cultural problem?
I volunteer in a French #CulturalHeritage centre + #museum (early 20th c.) with two international #fibreArt festivals + never ever experienced this. Not only that in France ancient #crafts and skills are strongly supported, meanwhile many institutions look for people who can still teach these skills. Our #embroidery group (the youngest 61) can hardly save itself from requests for presentations in
Yarn people, textile people : I have found these amazing works. The woman who made them has died, and she never explained what her technique was. Embroidery? Crochet? Can any of you suggest one? Right and wrong sides shown #YarnCraft#TextileCraft#crafting#crochet#embroidery#textile
Piove, a Brunate è tornata la neve, e allora la primavera la porto sugli astucci (per le matite, per i cosmetici, per cacciaviti, per quello che ci pare).
The great 2024 #decluttering has turned up this. It’s a washable colouring in map thingy. I’m very tempted to turn it into a small quilt. Maybe with flags around the outside as a border? Could maybe colour in the critters with embroidery? 🤔
