Da ich zu Ostern Eier meide und der Mann keine hart gekochten Eier mag, ich ihn aber mit etwas österlichem überraschen möchte, dachte ich mir dass ich einen Eierwärmer häkle.
“A mended garment is a little piece of artwork that you wear around all day, on display like a living gallery wall, eliciting comments, starting conversations, an opening sentence to a good story.”
― Nina and Sonya Montenegro, Mending Life: A Handbook for Repairing Clothes and Hearts
The best unexpected sweet #heartwarmer story I heard in recent years was from my past friend (who was also my neighbour & landlord for 3 yrs) . I was talking to him about how I wished more men were into #needlework crafts & sewing. He told me about how his Mom taught him how to knit as a child & how he grew up with a lot of sisters who did needlework too. He then told me how he knitted a baby blanket while waiting to be let in room when his first child was born ❤️🧶❤️
