What Is Quantum Teleportation?
Teleporting people through space is still science fiction.
But quantum teleportation is dramatically different and entirely real. In this episode, Janna Levin interviews the theoretical physicist John Preskill about teleporting bits and the promise of quantum technology.

Because of their size and abundance, supermassive #blackholes must have formed early in #cosmichistory. But how early is still an unanswered question. It's a focus of a recent study on the arXiv preprint server.
"According to the paper, the two events [gravitational wave and another type of astrophysical signal] may have originated from two black holes colliding while inside of the extreme environment surrounding a much larger supermassive black hole known as an active galactic nucleus, triggering a bright electromagnetic flare."

Australian astronomers have used radio waves to look deep into the heart of the Globular Cluster 47 Tucanae & found an undiscovered radio source.
The newly found radio source could potentially be the first evidence of an intermediate-mass black hole in the core of a Globular Cluster, or a pulsar that is real close to the centre.
