It was heartening to see the support for trans led organisations as we marched at the front of Pride in London. Showing trans people that there are organisations working for them and they’re not alone.

If you count yourself as an ally while deliberately refusing to put alt text on your photos because your attempts at sarcasm about #accessibility didn't work so well, you're not a true #ally.
When your response to requests for alt text is always say there's enough context in your post, you're no longer saying that alt text is important. We don't believe you. Now you're just being performative and deliberately obtuse for the sake of that performativity.

You know who are awesome? Librarians. I put in a request 5 weeks ago to see if we can get a scanned copy of a library book so that I can run it through text-to-speech software and read it for a paper I'm writing. Accessibility, right? My wrists hurt (a lot), and this helps.
The librarians got pushback from the publisher on scanning 4 chapters b/c that's more than 20% of the book. Potential violation of copyright. Needed for access.
