@WanderingPoltergeist@kbin.social

Former Reddit user looking for an alternative! I love Creative Writing, games, anime/manga, Android, movies, books, practicing phone photography, and long strolls to nowhere in particular. I'm also on Mastodon talking about day-to-day stuff like my progress in Animal Crossing New Horizons or whatever has caught my fancy!

I'm a card-carrying homosexual if that truly matters duckies!

I'm @WanderingInDigitalWorlds on Mastodon, I joined the @mstdn.games server!

I'm sorry Slack, you're doing fucking WHAT with user DMs, messages, files, etc? I'm positive I'm not reading this correctly.

WanderingPoltergeist,
WanderingPoltergeist avatar

I'm floored by Slack getting drunk on the idea of LLMs enough to compromise the privacy of customer data for the purpose of training an LLM! This should be an opt-in due to the nature of how much sensitive information will flow into training an LLM...I hope this move bites them in the ass.

I’ve never understood how this sort of thing happens. How does one guy in a gym shower signal to another guy in a gym shower, “hey, want me to give you a wank?” Is there some secret gay hand signal that everyone else is oblivious to?

It's a complex dance of watching the reactions of others, body language can be like a scream which clearly broadcasts one's wanton desire. It's a tricky thing to master reading though...As there are local variations to keep in mind.

My sister in FOSS, have you even heard of UX?

WanderingPoltergeist,
WanderingPoltergeist avatar

UX is also one of the things that has kept me firmly in Windows, it's consistent and often can be navigated intuitively! Linux's UX has been improving, it's not to the point I would recommend Linux over Windows for someone asking about OS recommendations.

WanderingPoltergeist,
WanderingPoltergeist avatar

When I say UX, I mean User Experience. I much prefer the experience on Windows vs Linux, it feels intuitive to me. Linux has a different user experience due to the types of people who would be using it. The distro does affect how well or poorly the UX is, Ubuntu or Mint in my opinion are the better ones that I have genuine experience with. We all have different use cases, for me, Windows fills the role I need it to.

An American friend of mine thinks beans on toast is disgusting. So to all none Brits (as we find it delicious)…is it disgusting to you?

Side note - I find it astonishing that someone from the country that invented “cheese in a can” can find this “dish” disgusting. 😂

WanderingPoltergeist,

I prefer using lentil curry instead of baked beans on toast! Mainly because baked beans murder my gut, I pay the consequences for a while after consuming the discomfort dish.

This is why Billionaires need their financial power to be curtailed, I feel these resource hoarding oddities will be the doom of the common folk. These individuals are usually surrounded with "Yes People" and are never challenged in a serious capacity to reconsider their unsound ideas or beliefs; it's worrisome to me that this is the plot from any post-apocalyptic game! Making the ultra-rich pay their dues is the wisest course of action, as it would help all of us experience a better quality of life as well as stopping them from being the cause of potential disasters.

The year is 3751: The only remnants of 21st century humans uncovered is the hard drive of your fediverse server. The top scientists of this age work day and night to uncover what humanity in our time was all about.

What do they find? Name three key things.

WanderingPoltergeist,
WanderingPoltergeist avatar

Games, Creative Writing, and Friendly Conversations would be the top three things found from a hard drive which contained instance data of the server I'm on! Our server is about games (with other topics welcome). Escapism in a time when a buffoon makes a bid to become a dictator; the rights of people being threatened by SCW (straight, Christian, white) dudes with no empathy for others. Games are the respite for our weary minds and frayed emotions, so we can heal and rejoin the fray of life once more.

Still haven’t drunk a booze in 2 months and only once in the last 3.

Sounds like I’ve quit booze. Always thought it was a lousy drug, especially considering its legality. You’re allowed 2 drugs, booze and fags (said as in the uk slang for cigarettes).

What if we had been allowed weed and mushrooms instead? Who knows how society would’ve turned out. What if Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers had a mushroom before a dance. James Dean having a bong as he jumped in his car and drove into the sunset?

WanderingPoltergeist,
WanderingPoltergeist avatar

I believe visual and written art would be drastically affected in a positive way with legal usage of psychoactive drugs! Strange, whimsical, horrifying visual and written media would be produced by so many. I can almost imagine now what some of those paintings might be like, how bold color choices or outlandish the depicted imagery would be. I imagine weed usage would be used much as it is now, both recreationally but also in cases of pain management for those. There would still be those that would lobby against the usage of either of these drugs which influence the mind; they would not be able to make these drugs illegal due to the general acceptance of their usage.

Me talking about something and then suddenly...The lexicon of words that exists in my brain vanishes. I pause and use sounds that are like words (said differently different) to get my neurons back on track. Also, I can have a passion for a movie, anime, or book but barely remember anything about it aside from how it made me feel. I might remember some character names or events that happened which were strange or cool AF. ROFL

@superflippy Yeah, I feel the fog and trouble recall only growing as I age! I'll be 41 next month, having a strong feeling that it will take half a day soon to remember something from middle school. Personally, I see your girth as exactly right. You've got a boyfriend penis, as the thickness is just enough to be fun but not overwhelming for regular topping and oral stimulation (if that is what you enjoy). However, we all see our bodies differently, so I respect your own opinion about your penis.

    WanderingPoltergeist,
    WanderingPoltergeist avatar

Oh naturally, we look for what we don't currently possess. However, that doesn't mean your opinion itself isn't valid. Your perspective is closer than mine in this regard. I only see you erect in a photo, whereas you have very intimate knowledge of your own penis. I'm glad you are taking my comment positively, but don't forget your opinion matters too. I'd personally examine where the source of that opinion came from, for the purpose of understanding oneself. 👌

I hear you! Due to their greed, bland games, push for people to use Ubisoft Connect and subscriptions; I am a screw Ubisoft kind of person these days. I have some of their old games, but I can't be arsed to own any of their newer titles unless it's a DEEP sale. Like less than 10 dollars after tax. Ubisoft is contributing to the enshittification of games (along with Capcom, EA, Activision Blizzard) so supporting them consistently is not going to happen as it's just me asking to be punished via their greed.
