Well y'all, this past week I have seen my first in the wild. And this morning I saw my second cybertruck in the wild.

Swell.

They look just as boxy, ugly, out-of-place, and pretentious in person as they do in pictures.

First in , second in , which is separated from by one street. So there is the chance it was the same vehicle. I sincerely hope so. It just pains me to think that there might be two such complete, unadulterated fools in this area.

@mastodonmigration The first one I saw was parked, so no driver. This morning I couldn't see much of the driver other than they appeared to be a woman. And I also wonder what the motivation is there. Maybe they just really like brutalist styles?

There’s nothing wrong with bragging about creating kindness. There’s nothing honorable about not sharing the joy of creating kindness.

We need to uplift and encourage people who create kindness in their daily lives.

@Mrfunkedude My 5th-grader performed in her school musical 3 nights in a row. It wasn't 100% necessary for spouse & I to be there all 3 nights. And last night a friend threw a party that I reeeeeeeaaaaaalllllly wanted to go to!

But we went to the musical all 3 nights -- 1st night I was in the audience, 2nd & 3rd backstage helping kiddo with costume changes & helping other kids with their random costume disasters. Missed the party, but I'm glad for what I did instead. 😊🎶👯👯‍♀️👯‍♂️💃🕺🎶🎭🍿

@Mrfunkedude Listen, sometimes I really do NEED a party -- especially with some of the people who were there, because I don't get to see them often.

BUT. My kid needed me. Which made it a no-brainer. And when it turned out other kids needed a hand as well, that was icing on the cake of Good Choice. 😊

In 2022 SCOTUS ruled 6-3 that public school teachers & other staff can lead students in prayer.

Now Louisiana will require all schools that receive public funding to display the Ten Commandments, including colleges and universities.

If it’s prayer these guys want, if you’re a public school teacher who wants to learn the Islamic call to prayer, i.e. the Adhaan, to teach your students, let me know.🙃

@QasimRashid Even as an #exvangelical with 40+ years of experience with Christianity, I just don't get this Christian obsession with the 10 Commandments. Wouldn't it make more sense for them to display the words of the radical 1st-century rabbi from Nazareth?

The "Beatitudes" might be a good start. They seem to ignore those.

It's all just polishing a pristine marble tomb while trying desperately to ignore the stench of rot coming from it. Hmm, where have I heard that before....

It is the Year of Our RBG 2024, and I simply cannot anymore with these Handmaid's Tale fetishizers.

NO ONE should act surprised that we women can't trust men who haven't actively proven themselves allies again and again over time. As someone else said, A BEAR wouldn't tell a college grad she belongs in the kitchen.

genuine respect for other humans
expressive eyes
healthy boundaries for self & others
muscular arms & calves
a ready laugh
passion about their interests
intelligence without superiority
creativity
generosity
willingness to try something new
nice ass

And I am absolute putty in the hands of a person who's able to verbalize to me the traits within myself I thought nobody saw.
