Finally followed through on my plan on going #swimming in the morning. And I reached a milestone in regards to my life long #aquaphobia; I actually swam in an area I couldn't stand in without panicking or needing to hold on to something.
Granted, I stayed close to the edge in case I did panic, but it wasn't needed.
I’ve been back and forth with an old friend lately, and it turns out I will have to do an Ironman. So, naturally - because I’m an idiot- I want to do two.
One legitimate one, it looks like I would have to get my first tattoo as well…
But two, I want to create one with three different disciplines. I’ve been trying to figure out what fields, so I’m asking for ideas.

I recently became aware of a man named Pyotr Patrushev . His claim to fame is that he was one of the first and only people to escape the Soviet Union by swimming to freedom over 30 km in the Black Sea from Balumi Georgia to Turkey. It is a very inspiring tale. There are links to four YouTube videos of interviews with him on his entire life in the Soviet Union, his escape, and his post-escape treatment in Turkey.
