Lovely #coldwater #swim somewhere in #devon, and then wandering around leaving rock and shell graffiti. It didn't have a goal, but I like to think of it as someone silently gliding through the water on their back. The clouds were amazing, but too cold to stare at them too long!

Managed to squeeze in a ver quick swim at the restored Newcastle Ocean Baths this morning while mum's care worker was here.

I thought I would be clever and count down from 40 laps--my watch drops laps, so I have to manually count. But it got me confused. I usually use rhyming to keep track (one and done, two for you, etc.) I lost count and did too much. I was trying to ease back up to a mile, but I jumped from 1220 yards to 1480 yards. Came home and took a nap!

Closer up, the water is a swaying foamy grey-green. The sound is the ocean's white noise - waves breaking. It was difficult to keep the camera steady because i kept losing my footing as waves made the pool deeper at times.

We were warned by the Lifesaver over the speakers to move stuff off these benches (on the side nearer the shore) because even there the waves were splashing up and wetting everything.
