Open-air community swimming pool near Zittau, Sachsen. It's great that lots of these valuable community resources survived reunification. In the early days of the DDR, places like this were often built by hand by the local community - literally everyone doing what they could.

It's CodySimpson@threads.net 's bday, so posting a few pics that, I think, tell a story of his life over roughly the past decade, which showcase some interests, goals, & dreams he's been able to pursue. He certainly is a hard yakka when it comes to music and the pool, perhaps bordering on a dag, at times, but he'd never be one in terms of his fashion sense. He's a fair dinker in those silver daks! @lovethisland it is a great place to swim. During the pandemic children were taught to swim there and subsequently hardy souls swim in all weathers, with and without wetsuit, ice or no. #lindean#swimming
My #VeloViewer stats for 2023 were up in nearly every category this year! More #cycling more #walking and even more #swimming That surprised me. The one that fell was elevation, you can see the point in the middle of the year where I moved house from living in the hills to living in a more or less flat city.
2023 was a mad year for me in many ways, getting outside regularly did my mental wellbeing no end of good though.
