Looking for modern (so 2000's onwards or at least no older than mid 1990's) Mystery / Romance that DOES NOT involve murder.

Does such a thing exist?

Reccs please !

I assume that Mystery / Romance as a hybrid genre already exists but am not sure... 🤷🏿‍♀️

I know that ' Romance & ' as a genre is a far spanning horizon...

Mystery tree of the day. Maybe a shrub. Extremely popular with the pollinators. Blooms year round. Covered always with honeybees, carpenter bees, native bees, hummingbird, you name it. Neighbor (one that will talk to me, LOL) hates it and always tells me she wishes I would get rid of it. (Update: Almost certainly Grewia occidentalis, the Crossberry -- very useful plant, and edible!!!) #mystery

@bookstodon My of Indian Burial Ground by Nick Medina is now live! This would be even creepier and more tense if the narrative had been arranged differently, but otherwise it's pretty awesome.

"Like most sign-out sheets, the “out” column had been incredibly neglected, making it look like no one emerges alive."

Lost and wrestling with her thoughts, Leyton Cassidy remembers the many missing hiker mysteries in a dramatic new essay:

Truly very happy that Nancy Drew: Mystery Of The Seven Keys is released!
I spent a large portion of last year working on it, and I’m excited to see how all the fans will receive it.

Hoping to catch some of you streamers solve the puzzles, the HeR team really stumped me with some of them!

I forgot to post that I was reading The Mystery Guest by Nita Prose. This is the sequel to The Maid that I read previously. I liked this book better than the first one, maybe because I knew what to expect from Molly and the other hotel staff. Another thing I liked about this book was how it switched from Molly’s perspective in present day to her memories of her childhood. It added a lot of background and context that I found necessary for the development of the book’s plot.

@bookstodon My of The Invisible Guardian (Baztan Trilogy #1) by Dolores Redondo (trans. Isabelle Kaufeler) has gone live! A pretty good mystery as far as I was concerned, though I wonder if the rough spots I encountered are a result of the translation rather than the author's writing.

Under His Name by M.A. Grant:

"This is the first time I've read something by M.A. Grant. I was thoroughly entertained with this very well-written story. The plot is solid, filled with suspense, excitement, fast-paced action, danger, humor and romance."
