It appears people no longer know how to operate one of these. Absolutely no one knows what it is anymore (probably for the last 5 years). #mystery#object
OK by episode 8, "Death and Other Details" has gotten a bit over complicated and the motives are getting a bit suspect. Still enjoying it, but I don't expect it to stick the landing not that things are so convoluted.
We in the territory were the silliest twist is what we're expecting next.
Found this orchid half price at the nursery yesterday. No label but it looks like a small dendrobium. Might be ‘chocolate chip’ based on the flower shape and colors. Here’s hoping it rehabs! It’s pretty cute but currently a bit dried out and wrinkly.
Five stars: Death by Peppermint Cappuccino by Alex Erickson and Melissa Moran (Narrator) (2023) is the twelfth book in the Bookstore Cafe mystery series. It's Christmastime again in Pine Hills. Krissy is in a present buying mood but she's put off by the strongly voiced opinions of a local church lady who has amassed a small crew of like minded ladies to fight back against what they see is a war on Christmas.
TFW you're really enjoying a mystery/thriller but end up having to dock points from your review for its insistent aPPLe promos. On the + side, it did give me an opportunity to confirm my guess that "malophobe" is the word to describe how I feel about that company😡 #AmReading#ebooks#Mystery@bookstodon
#Mistral Instruct 7B v0.2 has a strange quirk I found tonight. I pasted in a C# class and asked it to generate #XMLDoc comments for everything. I specifically asked it to not rewrite the content of the methods and such, and it always rewrote the whole thing. It was accurate and the comments were great, but it always wants to redo the whole thing. The line between what it can and can't do is mysterious!
Have two guys here replacing the final two windows/sliding glass door (which I should have replaced when they were here last time), and they appear to have been raptured... Stopped work, stuff all here, but they disappeared, LOL #mystery#contractors
WITNESS PROTECTION IN A RETIREMENT community isn’t most 31-year-olds’ idea of fun, and with a murder on the grounds and $2 million missing from community accounts, it’s not very protected. Fun Florida cozy has lots of pizzazz. B PLUS
There is a specific point here in Austin that will disconnect Android Auto/Carplay if you drive past it -- there are entire reddit threads about this phenomenon that go back years.
Supposedly people have reported to FCC but I've never heard of any resolution. I rarely drive in that area but did today and was reminded of the whole thing when my phone, indeed, disconnected.
Now I'm mad because this is one of those things that's going to haunt me forever.
'Maigret' is on Kanopy, two free episodes. I watched the first last evening. Rowan Atkinson doesn't have many lines so he has to use his face for acting purposes. Pretty good, all in all. My dad loved Simenon's books. Now I'll hunt for a couple and try them out. #tv#maigret#mystery
Mystery object of the day. Not sure if this is for photography (filter of some sort?);or audio (pop screen?). UFO (Unidentified Found Object) -- UPDATE: Mystery (already) solved -- pop filter for a microphone. Well... part of one. (see https://infosec.exchange/@dko/112203637956510198) #Mystery#object
Five stars: Death by a Thousand Sips by Gretchen Rue and Kristin Price (Narrator) (2023) is the second book in the Witches' Brew mystery series. Phoebe Winchester wins the bid on a collection of popular fiction at an estate sale, only to have her cat, Bob, find the body of the organizer. After seven drama free months, she's back in the middle of a murder investigation.
Jumped to another instance.
I have led an independently bohemian lifestyle since leaving the farm, my childhood home.
A dear friend suggests that this #Gypsy urge to roam traces back to my ancestors, who were nomadic.
I've traveled across the USA, parts of Canada, and Baja Mexico before finally settling in the Rocky Mountains.
Some of this will mainly make sense to indie authors, but my publisher got a BookBub deal for Something Deadly on Desert Drive. I went from fewer than fifty ratings to 150 in a week! And I basically retained my star rating. I also hit at least #2 in free Cozy Mystery and #2 in free Women Sleuths in the Kindle Store. (I wasn't checking constantly.) Now if only those new readers will go on to read the rest of the series .... https://tulepublishing.com/books/something-deadly-on-desert-drive/ #books#mystery#cozymystery#reading@bookstodon
We binged the whole first season of #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding over the past couple days and totally LOVED it. Great show if you like #mystery#mysteries. Starting season 2 tonight.
