"As abortion bans across the nation are implemented and enforced, law enforcement is turning to social media platforms to build cases to prosecute women seeking abortions or abortion-inducing medication – and online platforms like Google and Facebook are helping. "

Looks like the demonstrators were subject to a classic bait & switch operation today - they were reassured through detailed meetings with the , led to believe there was a way that they could exercise their right to protest, only then to be arrested when they did... so much for - another step down a road we're constantly told is merely scaremongering.... its almost entrapment

HOW DID WE GET HERE?
(a thread of threads, quotes, and links)

This is a collection of writings and research concerned with how we got where we are today, which is in fact the story of what has been done to us, and what has been taken from us.

By "us" we're talking about "the 99%", "workers", "wage slaves", all non-owners of private property, "the poor", unhoused people, indigenous people, even plenty of people who swear by capitalism and identify as "capitalist" yet have no capital of their own and no serious hope of ever having any worth speaking of. In other words almost everyone except for the very few who have had the power to exploit us and shape our lives to serve their agenda. We're going to examine institutions and concepts that have deeply altered our world at all levels, both our external and internal realities.

By "here" we are talking about climate crisis and myriad other environmental catastrophes resulting from hyper-excessive extraction, consumption and waste; a world of rampant inequality and exploitation, hunger and starvation; a world of fences, walls, tollbooths, prisons, police, bullshit jobs and criminalized poverty; a world overrun with cars and preventable diseases; a world of vanishing biodiversity and blooming fascism; a world where "democracy" results in being led by some of the worst of humanity; a world ruled by an imaginary but all-powerful and single-minded god: Capital.

Our inspiration and structural framework for this survey is this quote from "The Prehistory of Private Property", an important work from political philosopher Karl Widerquist and anthropologist Grant S. McCall:

"After hundreds of millennia in which all humans had direct access to the commons, it took only a few centuries for enclosure, colonialism, capitalism, and industrialization to cut off the vast majority of people on Earth from direct access to the means of economic production and therefore to rob them of the power to say no. It took only a few generations to convince most people that this situation was natural and inevitable. That false lesson needs to be unlearned."

I find it both hilarious & shitty that the only question any councillor had when seeing my multiple vids of their was - How many people have seen these videos?

That confirms for me, my family & friends here that their council doesn't give a shit about their cops violating our but they're concerned about 👎

Bunch of weak wankerdoodles in public office 🤡🤑😡

A lot of people would probably say that we “need” some sort of Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). In the US, the DMV manages the critical process of licensing people to operate motor vehicles on American roadways.

Considering that there are nearly 300 million cars and over 4 million miles of road, it’s very important that we have some kind of minimum standard of skill and ability to keep all those people safe as they hurtle their multi-ton boxes of metal, plastic, and glass at high rates of speed in very close proximity to each other and people walking or cycling.

Even with the DMV managing this process, 46,000 Americans still die each year from traffic collisions. So you can only imagine how bad it would be if there were no DMV!

Now let’s imagine that we were to discover that, in addition to licensing drivers, employees of the DMV were, in their official capacity, routinely killing people and stealing millions of dollars from them each year. Let’s imagine we discovered one DMV was rife with gangs that commit serial murder and another had set up a torture chamber where DMV employers spent years torturing DMV patrons.

Might you wonder what’s going on with the DMV?

Social Identities
Journal for the Study of Race, Nation and Culture
Volume 9, intitulé "THE AVANT-GARDE OF

https://rackedanddispatched.noblogs.org/

So much for freedom in

"police were trying to clear the stadium after the game and asked both bands to stop playing so people wouldn’t linger.

"Police say the director disregarded officers and told his students to keep playing."

They arrested and tasered him.
