“The soldiers at several points fired bullets next to their feet in an effort to terrorize them, perhaps to make them amenable to following orders.
“Every time they shot at us, I instantly poked my back to check if I was still alive,” said Ahmad, recalling the soldiers’ giggles at how scared he and his family were.”
“At other times, a tank would rapidly move towards them, then drift back, less than a meter away from them. Ahmad realized the soldiers were toying with them.
At one point, soldiers picked Ahmad’s brother, Saeed, and tortured him, breaking his jaw. They kicked him in his genitals like they were ‘hitting a football,’ according to Saeed. They beat him so severely that he blacked out at one point.’”
That's almost worst than what Adolf Eichmann & Arthur Ruppin stood for. Seriously, aren't you ashamed about yourself, or is it paid too good to stop this BS of yours? @Sherifazuhur
"Israel's Use of Palestinian Children as Human Shields"
Three boys say the IDF used them to shield soldiers from potential harm during an IDF raid on a refugee camp.
"They forced Karam to walk in front of them, open the doors to each room, & enter it before them. While they were walking, one soldier placed his rifle on Karam's right shoulder & fired two shots toward an apartment".

"In December,...civilian casualty figures reported by #Hamas...indicated discrepancies...reported numbers, particularly those of women and children compared to men and combatants, are significantly exaggerated.
A May 9 OCHA update...significantly altered the portrayal of casualty figures...the #UN effectively conceding the untrustworthiness of Hamas figures...parroted by various media outlets."
#IDF says two #Thai#hostages earlier believed to be alive in #Gaza were killed in the October 7 attack and their bodies are being held in the Palestinian territory. "We informed the families of two kidnapped Thai citizens, who worked in agriculture in the plantations near Kibbutz Beeri, that they were murdered in the terrorist attack on October 7 and their bodies are being held by Hamas," said army spokesman Daniel Hagari.

After 75 years of failure, one would imagine that a people would learn what works and what doesn’t, both from their own experience, as well as the experience of others.
The #ethnicSorting was most pronounced in the center of the land [where] more land was conquered by the #Arab Legion than by #IDF.
This territory included many sites with religious and symbolic importance to both sides.
It became known then as the #WestBank and it sits on a smaller patch of land that what had been allocated to a future #Palestinian Arab state in the rejected #UN#partitionProposal that preceded the war.
With few exceptions, the few places in central #Israel today with a significant Arab population were not actually conquered by the #IDF in the war; they were largely territories that were held by the invading #Iraqi army and that were ceded to Israel in the #armistice.
@BobaFuttbucker Interesting take. If he thinks #Hamas should be stopped, I'd love to hear his strategy for how that ought to be done. I hear more from people arguing that the #IDF should stop fighting #Hamas than arguing for how exactly the #IDF should be fighting #Hamas, if not with the current tactics
