It’s been 5 months since Australian Story aired an episode on NV Access founders, Mick Curran & Jamie Teh. The first Australian Story episode to be audio described. It was an incredible opportunity to share with a wider audience the importance of NVDA & our overarching message, that everyone deserves equal access to technology.
I love it when people mention the fact that we have an alt4me hashtag, but please, when you talk about it rather than posting an image to it, put the hashtag in quotes without the number sign "alt4me" or say "the alt4me hashtag". Otherwise, people who watch that tag could start ignoring it since at least half the posts there aren't images now. Thank you! One thing that you can do to make Mastodon posts much more readable/much more accessible is to put your hashtags at the end of your post.
Trying to read text which is littered with hashtags and blue hyperlinks is an accessibility nightmare. Put links at the end of your post, like this, instead!
