If I recall correctly you lamented the loss of the Unity Scene view while the game is running in the editor. I just found today a button in Godot that does something similar. Not quite the same, but could be useful none the less!
It's called Project Camera Override and can be activated while the game is running.

Been working on new features!

  • jumping on enemies or throwing things at them knock them out for a while.
  • you can grab those enemies and throw them to other enemies, to actually kill them.

And we have... PROCEDURALLY CREATED LEVELS! Which are quite useful for gameplay testing.

Passer de Unity à Unreal ça veut aussi dire : Ah merde faut changer ma carte graphique, l'UE5 il pompe à mort pour afficher une scène avec 3 cubes dans l'éditeur. Ma GTX 980 de 9 ans est à genoux alors qu'elle affiche que dalle.

My experience in #gamedev:

  • if you never worked on early stage of game projects, you will never know what was technically possible with a fresh start.

  • if you never worked with pre launch or post release stage of game projects, you will never know what was actually missing from your ideal vision of the tech stack.

This threatened my sanity. Happy with a menu scene and its UI in , I copied the controls and buttons to a new menu scene. Changed the script in each button & it seems I had to edit each signal too. Then on testing I get buttons linking to the wrong path. I find they've changed their path themselves. Impossible? I re-edit wrong buttons, get them working but other buttons stop working. I edit those, test, some work but others now need re-re-editing. Seems signal related?

Today's Potatostrike progress report:

  1. Only the Credits menu is pending translation. Everything else is ready to go.
  2. Mission 3's song is being worked on, as well as the sprites of the final boss. Hopefully the next update will be ready next week.
