I'm gonna try to clear up a few things

Meta is not gonna buy Mastodon or any server, this is based on absolutely nothing and untrue.

Yes, some of us indeed got contacted by Meta/Insta because they are working on a new social platform (this was in the news) and they are looking into joining the Fediverse (Mark Zuckerberg also told this in the recent podcast)

SO.

This contact was about a "heads-up" for a potential big platform to join the network and not for a "take over".

It still takes a while before Meta(P92) joins the Fediverse and the recent times we have read a lot of things from both sides

Polls are not super reliable but maybe it will give a better overall picture of what you, the people using these platforms want

The result will not be the definite outcome for us but I do take it into heavy consider because I love you all very much!

I want to apologize again for the sudden block from mstdn to .art💔

Some say it's because they where bashing on meta but that's untrue.

The admin was spreading mis information about the discussion that only fueled the fire and not the discussion with knowing any of the facts

If a "user" does this we can handle accordingly but when an admin does this it's getting worrisome

We should not figh each other but rather talk about it like adults, and also I am to blame in this

It won't happen again

It's time to address the elephant in the room, or actually Threads

As many of you may know Threads went live in Europe and with that they started testing federation with the Fediverse

At this point there is a choice to make

1. Block Threads on instance level, that will take away the choice for each person

2. Do not block and let people block if they want to(1 search and 2 clicks)

After much consideration and talks I think we need to go with option 2 and let people decide for themselves

It’s kinda sad to see people think I’m ’bribed’ by Meta.. I have not signed anything, I did not attend anything from them nor did I accept anything but still the worst is assumed when I don’t agree on blocking a still in development project that we don’t even know the (domain)name from right away

I don’t have any love for Meta or any of such companies whatsoever, that’s why I’m putting all I have in these platforms and guard it with my life so don’t expect Meta to get a ‘free pass’ on anything

The 'toot with pride button' looks good with the Bird UI theme😮

It also serves another purpose I have noticed.. apparently some people have an issue with this button so I give the advice to move away from my instance if ones has so 😉

If people can't handle a button color change for a month to show a little support they are in the wrong instance, that's for sure

In the US, hospitals are confident enough to print ‘39.95’ on the bill for holding your newborn

They are so sure about their system they don't mind explicitly spelling out that they charge $40 for literally handing over the baby and waiting for a few minutes

Because they don't even consider that absurd anymore

It could be me but it seems like a lot of younger people these days are voting more progressive left-ish in favor of humanity and looking at a more open future

I do hope we still have a world to vote for when our time comes..😟

I find it super weird that people automactically asume I am against nuclear enegery because I love our planet.. :amaze:

Uh.. I am super PRO nuclear enegery instead of endlessly burning fossil fuels

Until we have, if ever discovered fusion I think fission is the way to go

The few nuclear mistakes on this planet are mostly caused by hoomans and reactors stand surpsingly well against nature forces

So Reddit sells these uh... "things" for a lot of money so users can add it to some sort of wallet, from that wallet they can click on it so it will bring them to 'their URL' (not) from where the Reddit avatar builders opens and they can add this as their avatar. :ameowsipzoom:
