If things generally get better during #Democratic administrations, could it be the case that #voters begin to feel "safe" enough to start focusing on all the things that bother them about #government/#taxes/#society so they are willing to #vote against their self-interest to "make a statement", "make the liberals cry", etc.... thus bringing on #GOP economic poison ("trickle down" tax cuts and the like) and diminishing prospects for everyone except the super-rich?
