We don’t talk about it enough but it’s a huge failure that there isn’t more urgency to develop better COVID vaccines.

An Operation Warp Speed for nasal vaccines and more variant proof vaccines would transform our ability to deal with COVID and help us mitigate future pandemics.

Yesterday, as I drove home from a Covid booster shot, I reflected that, back in the spring of 2020, when I got my first shot, I'd never have predicted I'd still be getting boosters 4 years later.

    There's a theme of cruelty that runs through the GOP: dispose of anyone who doesn't suit your purpose.

    • dogs who won't hunt
    • women who won't give birth
    • homeless who have no place to go
    • those who don't conform to their ideas about gender
    • those who follow the wrong religion or no religion
    • those who stand against greed and exploitation
    • those who disagree with them about virtually anything
      The US must reject the devaluation of life that is baked into GOP DNA.

    If the US is to remain a viable democracy, the "states' rights" argument has to be settled once and for all. Where it was once invoked by confederate states over slavery, it's now used by [mostly the same] states to enact draconian anti-women's laws and, in the case of Texas, lethal anti-immigrant laws.

    And why does states' rights' always seem to be about taking away human rights?

    🤦🏿‍♂️Utah women's basketball was in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for a basketball tournament. While walking to dinner, racists in a lifted truck with confederate flags, yell the n-word and other slurs at them, and threaten them by revving the engine by them.

    At the press conference, the city did the usual dance: half apologizing, but half doing the "I hope people don't think our town is racist now!" dance. Which is awkward, because another white nationalist showed up to disrupt the press conference.🤡

    Welp that house showing fell flat. A family (would have paid all cash) .. husband with Parkinson’s. They need a downstairs main bedroom. We have that, and an upstairs one. They knew we have a 2 story house. Rejected because… there are stairs. Go figure.

    Tomorrow is our 1st open house so we have to leave for 3+ hours. I won’t be online much, but Hammy gets a day at the beach!
