    @2ndStar war anscheinend so teuer das kein geld für nen tisch mehr übrig war auf den tastatur und bildschirm gestellt werden können ^^

    (ich weiß das man die meist remote ansteuert [so aus dem nachbarhaus o.ä.] um störungsquellen zu vermeiden, aber trotzdem irgendwie etwas lustig.)

    • ja das ist aus maisstärke hergestellt
    • theoretisch biologisch abbaubar
    • nur unter kompostier-anlagen ideal Bedingungen
    • diese nehmen das aber nicht weil es ihnen zu lange braucht.

    Are there working implants that actively convert nutrients from the blood into things our body needs like proteins or hormones?

    It just occurred to me last night that most artificial body parts I've heard about are basically mechanical in nature - joints, artificial heart, etc. Are there any working implants that perform the function of organs? I'm guessing there's a reason why replacing a kidney's function still requires a big dialysis machine rather than an artificial implant.

    I would really love for us to get to the point where HRT medicines could be replaced by basically an artificial ovary or teste to use the components our body provides to just internally produce the needed hormones. But I have no idea what challenges in chemistry or biology get in the way of that

    @maciekglowka as @jake4480 wrote they look nice, but i think for #accessibility reasons I would at least include a option for a higher contrast between walls and floor.
    best would be a slider so people can set it to the contrast they prefer/need.

    Nachdem ich so oft irgendwelche Fischerhüte (Bucket Hats) in verschiedenen Formen (Kinderhüte, Sonnenhüte, mein Imkerhut mit gerade Krempe, etc) und Größen genäht habe, und mir dazu jedes mal ein Schnittmuster heruntergeladen oder selber konstruiert habe, ist mir das jetzt zu blöd geworden. In OpenSCAD hab ich mir jetzt einen Schnittmustergenerator geschrieben. Da gibt man nur ein paar Werte wie z.B. den Kopfumfang, Kronenhöhe, Tiefe der Krempe, etc. ein, und hinten kommt ein SVG zum Ausdrucken raus. Da OpenSCAD ja eigentlich für 3D gedacht ist, und nicht für 2D Vektorgrafik, frage ich mich, ob es etwas vergleichbar einfaches gibt, mit dem man SVGs parametrierbar "programmieren" kann, und hinten ein Schnittmuster rausfällt.
