Hat jemand eine idee was das für #Muscheln sein könnten?
Gefunden in einem Süßwasser #Teich in Norddeutschland. Werden ca 8-9mm groß.

Anyone a idea what kind of #mussel this could be? Found them in a sweetwater #pond in Northern Germany. About 8-9mm in size.

    @vicgrinberg accidentially did that earlier today, after reading the comments underneath that were explaining that this rainbow like phenomenon does not look like this and posted pictures of the real thing i took them back and boosted the correcting comments instead.

    I wish people knew how many hobbies (or at least hobby communities) they push people away from by aggressively talking down to people who are also interested. It’s not even necessarily intentional gatekeeping. It’s just making people who want to enjoy that interest feel like idiots by trying to prove they’re smart constantly and not having a two-way conversation. Like ripping something apart out of their hands to “do it better” without asking. It happens all the time.

    @hacks4pancakes part of the reason i do not talk to my dad anymore, with quite a few hobbies of mine that i just wanted to show him he immediately went into "You are doing it wrong!" mode.

    literally the only correct update Nintendo could've released for the 3DS was one which opened up the firmware at least a little more, and/or removed restrictions to playing games (I'm almost sure that there are still cross-region restrictions, and so removing them would be the correct option)

    When a device is past its end of its lifecycle like that you don't lock it down more, you give people the tools to still re-use it

    @ShadowJonathan @miki companies should have to place their code and unlock keys at some (goverment) agency/organisation beforehand.
    and the only purpose of this agency/organisation should be to keep the stored information safe until EO-L/Support of the product or until the company ceases to exist. then it should publish all of it.

    @SkyfaR @schenklklopfer solange ich gps/bluetooth an hatte bei mir schon beachtlich. da war der akku nach ~1 tag alle.
    in zeiten wo ich nur zuhause bin und beides aus gestellt habe hält der dann auf einmal ~3 tage.

    I see we’ve reached the stage where there’s a lot of complaining that Mastodon isn’t a utopia. Utopias are myths. Functioning, improving societies are messy and require a lot of hard work by a lot of people. The #Fediverse is still the best hope for the future of the social internet.

    @jlogancarey Ever heard about the term "Protopia"? essentially what you describe, communicate with others, find thinks that seem positive for everyone and throw them at the wall. If they stick and are good, nice you improved the world, if not, either throw new things at it for mitigation or even better scrape them of and stick new things in their place.

    @jlogancarey yeah the essential part is communicating with everyone who is only even remotely affected by what you create and listening to them if things do not work out, and then to improve or swap it out for better functioning things together.

    but although, not everything will work out everywhere equally well.

    @forschungstorte @vollkorn Alien ist verschieden eng definiert. alles nur im bezug auf das Große C (aka CCC e.V.) da es darum am anfang dieses threads ging es gibt noch andere definitionen für Mailinglisten etc.

    generell meinen die meisten das du im CCC e.V. Mitglied bist aber in keiner Lokalen Gruppe (Erfa oder auch Chaostreff) aktiv/Mitglied bist.

    tldr "Leute die sich dem Chaos zugehörig fühlen, aber keine Anbindung eine lokale Gruppe haben."

    @forschungstorte @vollkorn ok hatte weil du "die Alien Sache" geschrieben hattest noch einen schritt weiter zurück gedacht.

    Ich (auch ein damals Alien) wurde letztes mal eingeladen und im brief stand drin das ich stimmberechtigt bin. also ja deine letzte aussage stimmt. hab es leider nicht geschafft dazu zu kommen.

    @ixo as @homegrown already wrote, because user&instance refferences are all linked to the domain it is apparently extremely difficult to switch. maybe @insert knows more as they wrote "change my servers domain again"?
