Nach Recherchen von hätten mindestens ein Viertel sogenannter UER-Projekte vom nicht genehmigt werden dürfen, weil sie offenbar auf falschen Angaben beruhen.

Das Umweltbundesamt spricht von Betrugsverdacht und hat Anzeige erstattet.

    Die Landesverkehrswacht Mecklenburg-Vorpommern befürwortet die Beschlagnahme von Autos nach drastischen Rasereien. Eine Regelung wie in Österreich sei sinnvoll, teilte der Verband mit. Denn wer dort innerorts mehr als 80 und außerorts mehr als 90 km/h zu schnell fährt, riskiert sein Auto. Das Innenministerium in Schwerin reagierte zurückhaltend auf den Vorstoß. 🏎️

    Das Auto wird beschlagnahmt und versteigert bei:

    • Fahren mit mindestens 200 km/h

    • Fahren mit mindestens 100 km/h und mehr als doppelt so hoher Geschwindigkeit als erlaubt

    • Fahren unter Alkoholeinfluss mit über 2,0 Promille

    • Fahrlässiger Tötung unter besonders erschwerten Umständen

    • Besonders rücksichtslosem Fahren

    • Vorsätzlicher unmittelbarer Gefährdung des Lebens oder des Eigentums anderer Personen

    Here a nice example of thriving moss on an exhaust air vent of a university building.

    Another photo of the same mossy place but taken from two steps away: A cubic air exhaust of an underground ventilation system. Its top is completely overgrown with mosses of different kinds.

    The younger people here might not remember how dramatically better a form factor the iPad 2 was over the original iPad. It was hard to believe it was a year-over-year update; at the time, Samsung even halted its imminent Galaxy Tab 10.1 launch in a panic and went back to the drawing board to try and achieve something closer to the iPad design.

    I think perhaps Vision Pro 2 needs to be an iPad 2; make the [inevitable] competitors panic.

    Und warum ist es so, dass die Bauern überall präsent sind, aber Proteste gegen den Rechtsruck wenig? Warum es so wenig Talkshows mit streikenden Lofführerinnen, Pflegekräften, Kita-Erzieherinnen gibt?

    Weil Redaktionen und Journalist*innen Angst haben, in die linke Ecke gerückt zu werden, glaube ich.

    So wie inzwischen auch fast alle anderen. Großer Erfolg der Erfindung 'bürgerliche Mitte'. Die hofft, irgendwann wohlhabend zu sein, aber selber darin untergeht. Glückwunsch.

    As @pluralistic wrote: that's "mystical nonsense about spontaneous consciousness arising from applied statistics".

    Real problems we face with AI are:

    Ghost labor, erosion of the rights of artists, costs of automation, the climate impact of data-centers and the human impact of biased, opaque, incompetent and unfit algorithmic systems.
