The EU's illegal anti-refugees practices to expand yet again in order to placate fascists and adjacent within the EU.
Now Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Malta and Poland seek to have parts of Syria declared "safe" even though al-Assad's regime has not changed from its practices of habitual torture, persecution and other oppression.

Any State that expels, returns or extradites a person to another State where there are substantial grounds for believing that they would be in danger of being subjected to torture, is violating international law (UN Convention Against Torture).
Also, keep in mind that when xenophobia-promoting/enforcing politicians claim "voluntary returns", that usually is not voluntary as normal people understand it but through economic pressure of removing subsistence conditions or direct threat that if the persons do not "voluntary return" they will be forcibly deported under worse conditions.

Israeli warplanes hit a house in Rafah, killing two Palestinians.

Airstrikes targeted the Emirati Hospital, west of the city of Rafah, injuring at least three and also the Kamal Adwan Hospital, causing many casualties.

The forces also opened fire at the southeastern part of Rafah, which led to the injuries of numerous civilians..

Over 600,000 people have now fled Rafah as Israel closes in on the city, according to UNRWA.

@RMerlin It might be because it's early yet, but at least here there is only GT-BE98 (ROG variant) in the entire country, not one single shop sells RT-BE98 (sane(r) variant).

I checked both major price-searching sites and directly at all the shops I regularly shop computers-related stuff from.

@RMerlin The places I checked currently only sell WiFi 7 models ToiletPaper-Link Archer BE550 or BE800 as well as ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98.
I'm not "in the market" myself, but just thought you'd wanna know for your considering as to whether to support the ROG variant or not, in some places it's possibly not an end-user choice but a choice made by the retailers and their manufacturer representatives.

People abandoned amidst horrific violence and humanitarian void in Central Darfur [Sudan]

As the fighting in Sudan between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) began in April 2023, the displaced people of Al-Hasahisa camp, in Zalingei, capital of Central Darfur state, found themselves caught in between the crossfire.

According to the United Nations, by November, the camp had been besieged by RSF for months, leaving the injured unable to seek medical care outside the camp, and blocking water and food supplies from reaching people.

Well, I mean... it's just a long well established fact, but to some it is regrettably news.
Some high level local/regional politicians of the ruling party said at the time when ISIL's dreg were literally touching Turkey's border fence (and helped by MİT and border guards across for hospital services so they could return to continue committing genocide, while the border guards blocked the refugees escaping ISIL's genocide and blocked the volunteers wanting to go help their neighbors defend against the atrocities... which was what the court case was about) publicly said that they wished for ISIL to invade Turkey, to further the falsely claimed "Caliphate" while also hinting at some expected role for Erdoğan as a Sultan within that false "Caliphate" (they said that they thought, while ISIL would no doubt have just beheaded Erdoğan and them too).

The huge protests continue as the government of Georgia (the old one, in Europe) again tries to pass the "Putin-law"/"Russia-law" on demanding registration on "foreign agents" by the pro-Putin regime, while the people are overwhelmingly in favor of instead nearing the (supposed) ideals of the European Union.
Here, according to SOTA, some of the protesters move from the original protest location to another avenue because they were too many.

In the capital city of Georgia during the night to today an estimated up to 200000 people participated in yet another protest against the "Putin-law"/"Russian law" on requiring NGOs, journalists and others to register as "foreign agents" same way as has been used to crush human rights organizations and free press elsewhere previously, reported SOTA with these two videos by Ezz Gaber.

The circumvention of the strike against anti-union Elon Musk's Tesla in Sweden by ordering the license plates for new cars under sympathy blockade at the Postal Service and a private alternative (CityMail) to instead be delivered to other addresses "care of TM Sweden [=Tesla's company in Sweden]" will now be blocked by the labor unions too, as the blockades will be expanded to cover also those addresses from May 24, the unions announced.

Meanwhile, Court of Appeals announced yesterday that it rejects hearing Tesla's case demanding the workers' postal blockade against delivering car license plates for new Tesla-cars in Sweden be broken, tells Tesla such a case should have been in the Administrative Courts system instead of the general courts.

Related to the ongoing strike breaking nby anti-unions Elon Musk's car company Tesla in Sweden, the pensions fund giant (=major stocks trader) AMF (jointly owned by the labor union "Swedish Trade Union Confederation" (LO) and the major Capitalism-lobbying, etc group "Confederation of Swedish Enterprise") has at its annual meeting decided it demands that the board of Tesla adopt a "Non-Interference Policy" for "upholding the rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining in its operations", incl among other things "non-interference when employees seek to form or join a trade union, and a prohibition against acting to undermine this right or pressure employees not to form or join a trade union",
alongside similar also related to the staunchly anti-unionizaation tech giant Apple.

During Saturday Finland's cops decided to defend infamous NATO war criminal dictator Erdoğan from "defamation" by a puppet at a demo in defence of the democratic confederalist, feminist, peaceful co-eistence in diversity, ecological self-liberated Norrth and East Syria ("Rojava") held in Helsinki, before the puppet had even been used at the demo so no "defamation" could possibly have been committed yet,

Continuing its investigation of itself for thought crime policing against democracy and in aid of continuing war crimes, the National Police Board of Finland now declared that it was not right for the cops to confiscate Erdoğan dummy because they (claim to have) heard a rumor that it would be used as a part of a protest that they decided could be felt as insulting by the crimes against humanity culprit, while the protesters' actual plan was for dancing.

Or, in the Board's own words "Whereas the fact that the police have a lawful and socially desirable motive for their actions does not in itself justify the action of the police, which must have a ground for jurisdiction in law".

And if someone deprives someone else of their thing without it having "ground for jurisdiction in law", the police and courts would commonly call it...
theft.
But they're cops, so they're expected to commit authoritarian abuse, attacks against democracy and other crimes and get away with it.
It's fine. It's FINE! It's fine or you're fined.
