For all it's warts, it unwittingly, unintentionally became an incredible instrument of democracy. The truest public square we had, it cut their filters (MSM) out of the equation. He's a relic, an instrument to protect those deemed above the law while providing an illusion for public consumption, served up cold by the media. His slow walk (appointed by Biden btw) served it's purpose. Not many doubt Biden would lose against a any reasonable opponent, trump serves Biden's purpose. It stinks anywhere power brokers exist

@flexghost this demonstrates an absolute failure to understand our political system and government. Such a childish statement as "in favor of cancer" foolishly sidesteps the reality. His big donors are in favor of profiting from "treatment" rather than a cure. A cure is killing their golden goose. Members of congress have access to "cures", the general public fares much worse, ask yourself why?

@TruthSandwich @RememberUsAlways There is no place for Hamas in Gaza without Israel's behavior. It just all falls flat, why Israel wants the truth muzzled. Israel creates a monster , than wants sympathy for what the monster does. The world just isn't buying it anymore. Both Israel and Hamas yelling and pointing at the mirror. The obvious conclusion is they've done NOTHING but endanger their families and each other, NOTHING.

@TruthSandwich anyone who takes the position that the world began on october 7th is disingenuous at best. Someone who clearly believes all that matters or should exist is Israel and to hell with all others. I finally do realize how Israel has earned contempt from others. Too foolish pleading for empathy when they have absolutely none for others. The blinders are off.

@DrALJONES My assertion is not recognition of psychopathy, but why society surrenders its collective power to a few. We should all know by now fundamentally, power corrupts. Even the best intentioned can do great harm with that much power, loss of perspective. Like a dinosaur strolling through a park, mindlessly crushing what it cannot see. Most sane people dont desire too much responsibility, then what motivates wanting so much power and control, it can't be noble intentions.

@DrALJONES I think just focusing on the extreme lets the danger slip through the cracks. No one should have the power to buy courts, goverment, control the media. I can't understand why we are so dense it needs to be explained in detail. Children would understand the danger of letting people think they are "the king of the universe". Musk is a great example, probably an academic genius and definitely a civil idiot, for one to think he knows best for all, arrogance warps into stupidity

@DrALJONES We never learn, NEVER. We prefer to be fish in a barrel rather than acknowledge this in reality. That kind of wealth for individuals is just too damn dangerous for the rest of society. Put aside psychopaths for a moment, any of us could warp what is best for society as a whole using such power for what we think is right. All other perspectives dismissed.. Just the opportunity for individuals to acquire that much perverse power makes any democracy impossible. This fact is ignored

@ScepticalScot1 @Jeramee @DrALJONES For me it comes into clarity when I regard both established parties as nothing more than criminal enterprises disguised as governance, where all the power lies. own the government, rule it all with no fear of consequence. Everything we see is reflective of two crimes families fighting for dominance and territory at our expense. This go round with two such wretched "candidates" pretty much makes it clear. You will choose what THEY offer you.
