It does not accurately describe either the foundation of #Israel or the tragedy of the #Palestinians.

“…Whatever the enormous complexities…, one truth should be obvious among decent people: killing 1,400 people & kidnapping >200, including scores of #civilians, was deeply wrong.
Palestinian health officials say Israeli warplanes struck a refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing at least 40 people and wounding dozens. Those calling for #ceasefirenow are obviously ignoring the fact that #Hamas doesn't want a real cease fire.
There WAS a cease fire on October 6.
Hamas could end this war immediately by surrending and releasing all remaining hostages.
Hamas is NOT a "resistance". They are not freedom fighters.
They are a blood-thirsty, warmongering organization with only 1 objective: to destroy Israel.
Hamas kills #Palestinians who resist their oppression.
If you don't condemn Hamas and call for their immediate unconditional surrender, not only are you supporting a continued war, you are supporting #terrorism and #genocide
Refusal to place the blame for #Gaza's thousands of deaths on Hamas is compliance with Hamas' strategy and support for their war.
#Iran has offered full support to #Hamas and other resistance groups in #Palestine as they struggle against the Israeli occupation and its atrocities against the #palestinians.
If Israeli hostages are treated well by Hamas, then that is a positive thing. Why hope for the hostages to be tortured and otherwise treated cruelly.
At the same time, this doesn't change the barbaric, vile nature of the attacks on 7 October, or Hamas' relentless attacks on Israeli civilians. They're still terrorists and should be taken out.
War is the appropriate response when one nation is invaded or attacked by another. The most recent obvious example, in Ukraine, illustrates the case: Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine in 2022 set off a war between the two nations that continues today. Ukraine is completely justified in defending itself by going to war against Russia. 1/4
