It’s pissing it down & the hibernation urge is very strong this morning - the urge to venture out & exercise is fairly nonexistent!
However there is an amount of frustration to release , so a 10k walk thru the pouring rain might be just the ticket !

G’day Squirrel Fans, Thursday of my birthday week & I’ve decided that a nice quiet morning sat in bed is in order. The excitement & exposure to people this week has exhausted me mentally (although I did enjoy it ) & I need a bit of me time. 😊
Utterly shagged after today, so being a tremendously sad git & offski to bed … thanks to all who have tooted me today, I will try n catch up in the morning.

So was up at 4am again but relaxed in bed for a couple of hours, it’s Sunday after all!
It’s blinking cold outside,nice n warm inside!
So a shopping trip to Costco later on will be the highlight of the day, but mostly a lazy day otherwise. Project WOOF will swing back into action tomorrow.

So a better night , somewhat disturbed sleep - but got a solid 6 hours in along the way!

Whew, it's finally done, felt like I was going mad at times, drawing so many squirrels!
I don't think I've draw so many characters in a single picture before...
Originally the plan was just drawing one picture of 16 people and be done before Squirrel Appreciation Day which was Sunday, but... I ended up drawing almost double with an whole second image :blobfoxsweating:
I got to say, it was VERY interesting to draw this one... for a few reasons, as ended up painting a background, in more detail than I generally do and in a style I enjoy making.
But I also noticed that most people that signed up had brown/orange characters, most squirrels are also kept in an "earthy" sort of colour scheme? brown, gray... and also all have green eyes!
There were only two with completely different colours like a purple one, and a blue-ish green one!
I found that very interesting as I've seen other fursonas with more fantasy colours...
There is something so appealing about red squirrels, especially in their native environment. You can almost forget the destruction they cause when they get into the guts of your car or your walls!
The heated water bowl is popular with the squirrels, birds and later on, opossums. It needs refilling from evaporation daily.
My husband saw 14 cardinals earlier but he’s not a picture taker.
It’s 10F -12C and lightly snowing. We have accumulated
only a small amount of snow.

Snow fell early this year. Squirrels are starting to grow their winter coats (from the bottom) and earmuffs. Flowers are not impressed. #squirrel#SquirrelsOfMastodon
