I made a Long-Tailed Tit! This is my first attempt at representing an actual real bird. There will be more, but next time I am using wax to shape the beak, this one was so tiny it was basically impossible to form with just the needle. And I'll wrap the wire in waxed wool, too, so it looks even more realistic. #NeedleFelting
It’s sculptural, you can make literally whatever you want, what’s not to love? And once you get past the stabbing yourself stage the possibilities are endless 😆
I’m going to be trying to do more this year, I feel like I’ve been neglecting it a bit. But I have some big, new, needle felting plans for cosplay that I hope go well 🤞

So my posting is as sporadic as my life rn, but I have a project I’m trying my best to work on.
I decided I wanted to visit my old love of needle felting and do a combined sewing/ needling effort. Something cute for the new year. So here is my wip Genshin large Dendro slime!
It ended up being an intense #teaching day, with a 3-hour workshop for a student group, teaching different groups four different #crafts simultaneously. #MultilingualDH class was solid training for this, plus the three kids. Here's some machine #knitting and some #needlefelting. #DHsewing
It's the Saturday before #Halloween, and despite having lived in this small town for over ten years I still only have one local friend, so no parties for me.
But the house is decorated anyway! 🦇 Other half's fancy shirt is all done! 🎃 The #AirDryClay and #NeedleFelting ghosts we made last year are in pride of place on the mantelpiece! 👻
This afternoon we'll be kicking off our cozy tradition of an old horror movie marathon "Spooktacular". He never used to mark Halloween at all before we got together, but started this tradition to make me feel less left out, so I love it and look forward to it every year.
All that remains is to put on my recently finished socks, and somehow turn this pile of absolute #crochet mess into something wearable for me before 1pm!
My interests include working with all things fiber, from processing local raw wool sustainably at Ethical Yarn Community to #spinning / #handspinning on my Ashford Joy 2 to #knitting#crochet#NeedleFelting and soon embarking on rigid heddle #weaving and maybeeee natural dyeing
