Amazing hazel covered in moss by the Dart river, Huccaby, last week. I like to think it was a deer that was petrified by the piskies, / pixies and then covered in moss. #Dartmoor#Devon#mosstodon#photography
This is a picture of Brixham harbour, which is only a few miles from where I live. It made the national news last week as the epicentre of an outbreak of cryptosporidium, but is normally thought of as a picturesque fishing port.
It's a popular tourist destination and, to the left of the shot, you can see its well-known replica of Sir Francis Drake's 'Golden Hind', in which he circumnavigated the globe. It's a disturbingly small vessel.

The judge’s chair at Dunnabridge pound yesterday, between Two bridges and Dartmeet.
The pound is on the site of a Bronze Age settlement but the walls now are several hundred years old. The shelter was used for shepherds as a shelter from the moorland elements. Probably built here in the 1500s.

British Journalism not even entertaining the notion that the contaminated water could come from a sewage outflow, of the sort our Water Companies are notorious for.
Must be Refugees or Queers or something, innit Brits? /s
An #aurora over #devon!? Never seen one before, and did not think my first time would be this far south in my own back garden. Quite a geomagnetic storm raging right now, with quite frankly stunning results.
I have wanted to see this forever. This is outside Newton Abbot in Devon just before midnight. Doesn't look this dramatic to the naked eye, this is about a 3s exposure with a Google Pixel 7a.
