Copies of Worlds of IF Science Fiction Magazine #177, the relaunch issue, spotted in Paris. Front cover art by Bob Eggleton, back cover art by Andrew Stewart. Check out that table of contents.
Feels so good to read it in prints!
All the layers that went into the cover art for the Mental Clutter EP. Quite a few photos that ended up as subtle texture (I had big plans when I took that cauliflower pic).
The original idea was to use use that pic of the Circuit Rhythm as the cover, but that seemed too much like product placement, so I used it as inspiration instead.
In all the boxed-book kerfuffel, don’t overlook Ephemeral City’s remarkable cover design by the excellent Julia Favaloro who used the eight stories as the starting point and recurring numerical motif for this restrained and elegant design. #books#design#bookdesign#coverdesign#coverart#books
Love the subversive cover art of this 1955 issue of the Worlds of IF science fiction magazine, featuring art by Kelly Freas. It could have easily made the cover of Métal Hurlant, a.k.a Heavy Metal, back in the days of its outrageous 70s era ⚡️
A most beautiful cover for the new issue of the Nature Astronomy journal
