Quite a dramatic change from a few months ago when everything was frozen! Our favourite tree still hasn't fully blossomed but the lily pads provide plenty of green! 😄
Hopefully, I can get a good photo in the summer and then again in autumn and have the whole "Four Seasons"
I love how the branch from the right frames the wildflowers blossoming in the sunshine as the dried needles on the forest floor contrast the green grass.
All the layers that went into the cover art for the Mental Clutter EP. Quite a few photos that ended up as subtle texture (I had big plans when I took that cauliflower pic).
The original idea was to use use that pic of the Circuit Rhythm as the cover, but that seemed too much like product placement, so I used it as inspiration instead.
We've had a tonne of rain recently. While walking along the trail I stumbled upon this verdant green watershed! Some of the greenest plants I've ever seen!
I have scanned a lot of old black and white photos and now I want to restore some of them with #affinity / #affinityphoto.
Of course #affinity is mainly focused on color images. Does anyone know of a plugin that is particularly suitable for processing old black and white images?
I’ve been increasingly getting the feeling that #Adobe really doesn’t care about improving it’s products for professionals, and this pop-up when I launched Photoshop for the first time in a while feels like the most blatant demonstration of that.
Adobe wants their tools to be everything for everyone, but increasingly they feel like the worst solution for any given user. They’re just coasting on being the industry default.
By contrast, #AffinityPhoto launches quickly and doesn’t immediately distract me with tips that aren’t relevant to my work. I appreciate how it sees itself as a tool and gets out of my way.
Speaking of failures in the last post, I decided so share one of those with you.
As you can see, this image appears to be pretty fine, right? And that's true, expect the sword the knight is holding. It is a bit bent, something the blade of a longsword should not be.
Happy #MacroMonday ! Six droplets of water on my glass coffee table. My MacBook Air is on the floor under the table. I got the idea for this shot from the amazing Joey Terrill.
#Pentax K-S2 with smc DA L 18–50mm F4–5.6 DC #kitlens . ƒ/11, 4sec @ ISO 400. Focus stacked image using Affinity Photo.
All was quiet on the Billy Neill Playing Fields… until it wasn’t!
A #sparrowhawk flushed from the trees by an irate #HoodedCrow and was chased across the pitches.
Needless to say, that was the end of #birdwatching for the morning 🤷♂️
