So, as I had posted before, my parents got me a number of Ryse Fuel energy drinks to try for my #birthday. Let's plow through three more of them!
First, we have Baja Burst. It's called "twisted lime" in terms of what flavor it is. For me, think #BajaBlast, but better. Yes, I said it. It has a similar taste, but something about it I just enjoy more than Baja Blast. Shocked me too.
The second is Ring Pop. You know that generic "berry" flavor that candies have. It's a non-descript berry, it could be any of them if someone told you that it was a specific berry. That's what this tastes like. Which, I suppose, is fitting for a Ring Pop flavored energy drink.
The third is Tiger's Blood. It's a watermelon, strawberry, and coconut flavored energy drink. I genuinely liked this one. A lot. The coconut was subtle flavor-wise, even if my kids all said they smelled coconut the moment I opened it. I don't know, I liked it, though.
Have you tried any of these? Feel free to let me know if the comments.
So, I may have bought presents for myself recently, then wrapped them (or helped my kids wrap them acting like I had no clue it was for me) and the pretended to be surprised on Christmas.
...
Yes, that is exactly what I did.
Here's a pic of the stuff including all of the Wotakoi manga (a Cyber Monday deal), The Last Ronin, and the newest Sonic game.
Boston area peeps, what happened to chocolate being # 1? What’s with the aversion to Snickers too? (I separate all nut containing candies in their own bowl, so not allergies).
I just went through so much Sour Patch Kids & Sour Punch Twists, I’m thinking of limiting the chocolate choices next year!
That there was a Warheads Sour! Green Apple Soda? Neither did I until I found it at the Dollar Tree.
I mean, I just had to try it. I love gimmicky sodas, even if they end up tasting terrible. This one, though, was a big surprise.
I poured some out for myself and each of my kids. We all took a sip and, at once, recognize that it tasted like biting into a sweet, green apple. No sour taste or aftertaste. It just tasted like a sweet, green apple. Weirdly realistic flavor, even more so than a regular green apple candy.
Looking at the ingredients list, it had a all sorts of malic acid - so it SHOULD have been sour. But, to us - no sourness. Just sweetness. The kids really liked it. We may be looking for it again next Dollar Tree visit.
TL;DR - Warheads Sour! Green Apple Soda is better than it has any right to be, actually tasting like a green apple and not very sour. Would drink again.
Finally after many years of searching I found my favorite little peppermint candy. This is quite similar to the kind often at the hostess desk for a mint and a toothpick to go after the meal. Or at a doctor’s office or any small shop. The best thing is that it is a soft puff of peppermint flavor and not a hard candy. Red Bird has made it since 1890! Big Lots buy. 4 grins at home. #Candy#Peppermint#Sweet#Sugar#Americana
